capsterdog Report post Posted October 6, 2015 Just finished this up for myself. Wanted to see how well the pattern worked. The spine is inlaid with ostrich leg leather and laced with 1/8 natural calf skin lace around the main part. I wanted a chunky look so I went with the 1/8 lace. The inlay was stitched with some fine lightly waxed thread from japan. It worked well for the first time using it. Same thread on the pockets. I used a air blade on the pockets just to add some light texture. I lined it with orange pig suede. Colors used: Eco flo yellow and bison brown on pockets and medium brown gel antique on the front. I used carnauba cream on the pockets and satin sheen on the main part. I also applied Fiebings Aussie on the lace, it gave it a nice glide thru the slits. I don't post picture often but thought I would share this one.
