Is that how you got it the form to the back of the flask? I have a few flasks and the flasks are smooth with no edges at the top or bottom to keep the leather on. I will be making some but the leather will have a hole in it so that the engraving on the front of the flask will be seen. Did you wet the leather? Thanks in advance, T Hi- The leather was probably 4 ounce, if I remember correctly. I did wet it and form it to the flask, put some weights on it and let it dry before finishing.
