Forester Report post Posted June 4, 2016 Hi All. I am making a John Wayne El Dorado holster and belt for a customer. Josh Ashman Report post Posted June 6, 2016 You might try just tucking the free ends back under itself and leaving some tail on them. Offside billets and cinch straps on western saddles are generally laced on that way. If the lace is fairly snug in a holes and tight where you run the 2 through 1 hole then they generally won't come loose and often have to be cut apart. A knot like Red described would also work well. plinkercases Report post Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) I have used this pattern a lot for guys who bought the Umarex Colt SAA replicas and use it for my own CAS rig and found that whiel I know it isn't a quick draw holster I needed to add a rivet as indicated just below the trigger guard to avoid metal on metal and it helped keep the holster from riding up on the draw.
