Mockingbird Report post Posted May 13, 2017 Luckily the transport company will compensate. It appears a hole went through the outside plastic-carton-styrophome and onto the pulley. Doing a quick search, it seems like customs may poke holes for drug searches. I just wish the hole was poked into the body of the machine!
dikman Report post Posted May 13, 2017 It's a fairly hefty poke to break a metal pulley (even if it is just cast alloy)!
mikesc Report post Posted May 13, 2017 I'd say a fork lift truck operator speared it by being careless..happens a lot.

Elliot Report post Posted May 14, 2017 With that damage the shaft may be bent. Check that before going further. Good luck
Mockingbird Report post Posted May 14, 2017 Oh I've got a refund already. I actually tried it out with a motor and it stitched fine. Just no hand-pulling Obviously my experiences are tainted, but when comparing Juki 341 and the clone side by side, it's really apples and oranges in appearance and feel. However, in stitch comparison.. not so much!
suzelle Report post Posted May 15, 2017 Wow! Your machine got inspected by aliens/martians. What the heck? Glad you got a speedy refund. Hopefully you can the right part for it quickly too. good luck!
patria Report post Posted May 15, 2017 Aftermarket Handwheel replacement is easy to find, or you can always custom one on metal workshops, but how on earth cargo inspections can break that cast alumunium apart?

Thanks and No i don´t have a Blog. that is good to hear you got a refund and i am sure you will be able to find another balance wheel no problem as your machine is a newer type one.
