alpha2 Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 Nice stuff there. I've got a Ka-Bar on the way from my brother, the issue scabbard is falling apart. Sheath time again! I have yet to do more than one sheath for the same knife. I've saved all the patterns, but every new job is a different knife. The Ka-Bar I would think is the most likely to get more than one, except for a Buck, but I haven't had one of those yet! I like the formed belt loop on the 1911 holster. Members Double Daddy Posted January 25, 2018 Members Report Posted January 25, 2018 Very clean craftsmanship, Forester. I'm with alpha2...the formed belt loop on the 1911 holster is really trick... Quote Have a great day! Chris
bikermutt07 Posted January 25, 2018 Report Posted January 25, 2018 I likey. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members Forester Posted January 25, 2018 Author Members Report Posted January 25, 2018 Thanks all for all the nice comments, the customer wanted a 2.5inch belt loop for the 1911 holster so i stuck a 2.5inch thick belt blank in while it was drying, i put it on a heat pad which is supposed to be used for fermenting wine, i don't make wine anymore so its used for leather work, works a treat.
