Prusty Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Small card wallet made to look like an old airmail envelope. Had the idea for this a while back but couldn’t figure out the best way to make it until recently. Its made from one piece of 1-1.4mm veg-tan that’s been folded, glued and stitched together. The decorative stitching is 18/4 linen thread at 3.35mm stitch spacing. Bit too chunky for that spacing normally but it helps hide any offline stitch holes at least! alpha2 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Well that just looks perfect. It certainly catches the airmail bit, too!
YinTx Report post Posted February 6, 2018 I love the thick thread since you were going for a decorative stitch. Definitely lets the red and blue be bold! I don't think it would have looked as good with any other thickness of thread. It just looks right. Nicely made! YinTx
bikermutt07 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 It certainly has an enveloping appeal.

Retswerb Report post Posted February 8, 2018 Very cool. I thought of doing something like this a while back but decided that the stitching would give me fits down by the corners. Looks like you handled that with ease!
