Members Caesar Posted February 22, 2018 Members Report Posted February 22, 2018 I made a watch strap. I think it turned out well for the most part. Had a little trouble with the keeper, but overall I'm pleased. If anyone knows the secrets of stitching in a keeper I'm all ears. Not sure how to get around the max pic size limit. I suppose I could resize. But, here they are on imgur. https://imgur.com/gallery/FDbTu Quote
bikermutt07 Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Man, that looks great to me. Good job. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Members JD62 Posted February 22, 2018 Members Report Posted February 22, 2018 Looks nice. What leather did you use, what thread? Quote One day at a time my friends John

alpha2 Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 great strap! Nigel Armitage has a video on sewing a keeper in a belt, I suppose it would be the same process, only a lot more intricate! Quote So much leather...so little time.
garypl Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Nice looking strap! You can use Irfanview to resize on a PC or if you have pics on an iPad or iPhone, download the Imagesize app. Both very easy to use for resizing down to 640 x 480 or 800 x 600 for posting. Both programs are free. Gary Quote Cowboy 4500, Consew 206RB-4
