Hi guys hoping someone can help me.

i have just been commissioned to make a custom tack set for a client and they are wanting rainbow and sparkly inlay.

i am struggling to find 100% leather to fit this criteria all I can find is the PU leatherette/faux leather stuff.

would this work at all?? I have never used fake stuff before . Trying to find any cool types of leather in Australia is next to impossible aswell

I have attached a picture of what my client is after.

thanks

If you want sparkly, you might be able to use dry pearl pigments mixed in with whatever finish you’re using. Just did an experiment with pearlex pigments + edge paint, and I was impressed at the sheen from a very small amount of pigment. Might not work if airbrushing, though.

Have you looked at metallic effects from Dulux Paints? I am not sure if it will do what you are after, but ... cut out your insert, apply the effect, 24hours to dry, stitch the insert.

Kindest regards

Brian

Hi

Not sure this company will have exactly what you want, but look at the site and maybe send them an email.
