JJN Posted August 31, 2018 Report Posted August 31, 2018 I stumbled upon this auction of the Filson production facility in Post Falls, Idaho. Looks like dozens and dozens of Singer, Consew, Juki, Pegasus machines plus rolls of fabric, hook & loop, layout and cutting tables and spare machine parts. Lots are starting at $5 - $20. Ten days until auction closes. I wish I had more money and space right now. https://cyberauctions.com/ViewCurrentAuction.php?cid=0&aid=803&srid=49 Quote Ferdco Juki Pro-2000, Juki DNU-1541S, LS-1341, LU-563, DLN-9010A-SH, MO-6714S, Consew 206RB, 206RB-1, Chandler/Bernina 217 6mm w/Cam Reader, Brother LT2-B842-5

Members YinTx Posted August 31, 2018 Members Report Posted August 31, 2018 Did I read this right, you have to pick it up? Bit of a drive for me, sadly. YinTx Quote YinTx https://www.instagram.com/lanasia_2017/ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLK6HvLWuZTzjt3MbR0Yhcj_WIQIvchezo
Uwe Posted August 31, 2018 Report Posted August 31, 2018 Lots of interesting machinery in that auction. Unless you can pick up items in person within two days of the auction closing, it's best to figure out shipping options before placing a bid. Post Falls, Idaho is REALLY far away from places like Atlanta, Georgia. I wouldn't count on the auctioneer to be of much help with arranging shipping. Quote Uwe (pronounced "OOH-vuh" ) Links: Videos

Members DrmCa Posted August 31, 2018 Members Report Posted August 31, 2018 Another US textile factory bites the dust. This is so sad. US made textiles used to be the best quality you could find. JJN Posted August 31, 2018 Author Report Posted August 31, 2018 I bought a Filson jacket 14 years ago. I've worn it a lot and it gets better the more I use it. I suppose it will outlast me. It might of been made at this facility. I read all the terms before bidding, and having to pick it up is not an issue at all for me. I bid on factory/business closeouts all over the country regularly. I am registered on at least 20 different auctions sites, so I know how this works. Of the three I am bidding on, I just hope I can at least win one, but I would surely take all three. Members Hasbeencowboy Posted August 31, 2018 Members Report Posted August 31, 2018 The only draw back I see is that all sewing machines are 3 phase. If youi have 3 phase, non problem but if you don't, it could be a big prob;em Quote
