I bought the swing down edge guide for my Consew 206RB-2 along with the adapter bracket but when I screw it to the back now my foot lift arm won’t go all the way back down. What am I doing wrong?

You are either going to have to grind down the head of the hex bolt or reposition the lifter block on the presser bar, along with the associated parts that ride on that bar. This might include the tension release pin or bell crank.

It looks like it could hit on both, hex bolt and the guide. Can you describe that? If the bolt is removed does it, the lever still contact the guide body.

p.s.  Someone may mfg a different lever.

The Kwokhing swing down guide came with a small extended piece probably for this situation. Like Folker said, if you get a longer piece of steel same as the one you have the guide fixed to then you can fix your guide further out to the right.

As mentioned earlier, a simple low-profile M5 screw like the one pictured below may be all you need. I order mine from Open Builds (https://openbuildspartstore.com/low-profile-screws-m5-10-pack/

Edit:

I just now noticed that you're using the KB-267 adapter bracket. That bracket can be used in four different orientations to provide offset combinations of up/down and left/right. It looks like you have it in the up-left offset position. Try the down-left position instead.

Its obvious -- sell that machine and get one that fits your edge guide. ;)

Is it hitting the roller, or just the bracket?  If the left capscrew is tight, should be able to just remove the one under the lift arm.  I assume you aren't LEANING ON THE LEATHER for support -- one screw should hold it.

That is a great tip you mention Uwe.

The orientation of the bracket, I hadn't noticed and with the photos, it helps. Good thing for all these pictures from everyone.

After looking here earlier, I failed to copy and paste. Though did see on aliexpress a longer lever for this. Oddly this was in the same searching of the flip down part.

The longer lever may well be made by the same company, that kwokhing has quite the part list. Where ever the lever was I passed on the save n paste because the 37.$ price.

Anyway, thanks you all for the heads up on these installs, tricks n tips.

Good day

Alright I flipped the spacer the right way ( whoops ) and looks like there is just enough gap for one of those flat head hex screw and maybe counter sink it into the bracket and it will work! This is one one screw in but it needs two so it won’t rotate. Thanks so much everyone I’ll keep posted with results!
