Members TargetRockLeather Posted March 21, 2019 Members Report Posted March 21, 2019 I know I'm going to sound like an idiot, but I have to ask... how was this done? I mean, it looks like it came from a photo but how was it applied to the leather? Quote http://targetrockleatherworks.com

I mean, it looks like it came from a photo but how was it applied to the leather? If in short words, in this case (without using leather inserts) the process is as follows: 1. Transfer the contour pattern to the leather (with a stylus or, as I usually do, print the contour with inkjet printer on the film and apply the printed side to the leather). 2. Carving, stamping, modeling with spoon and stylus. 3. Molding (I do not know how correctly I translated the term into English). 4. Coloring with spirit dyes. Recently, I made a small entertaining (non-teaching) video that just shows this steps of the example of the German Shepherd portrait. Edited March 21, 2019 by ABHandmade Quote
