Rohn Report post Posted May 7, 2019 Here is a Driving Holster I made for the Bond Arms Snake Slayer IV. The holster is fully lined so no metal is inside the holster. The dye I used is Fiebings oil dye in Saddle Tan, then antiqued. All lacing and stitching is done by hand. The last picture also shows a holster for a Ruger GP100. JLSleather Report post Posted May 7, 2019 Okay, I'll bite. WHY not continue the lace all the way around? That would have been my preference, but also seems like it would be less work than stopping the lace and ending on both ends, then stitching that little bit. Two reasons why: First of all I learned early in my holster making (20 + years ago) that continued insertion and withdrawal of the gun in the holster wears on the lace but with the thread it will not do that. Second reason I like the way this looks better than if it was laced all around.

I have never worn a driving holster so I can't say how they feel while being worn. I would guess it would depend on the persons build. Thanks everyone for all the great comments.
