Albob Posted February 3, 2020 Report Posted February 3, 2020 I have always wanted a SA wheel gun so I picked up a Cimarron Pistolero in .45lc. a couple of months ago. It's been sitting in my safe waiting for me to get in wrapped in leather and I finally got to it. Well mostly, I still need to treat the edges. My version of a basic natural tan, single layer of 10/12 veg tan holster with one layer of 8/9 with a 4/5 liner. Single run loops riveted between each of the loops. Sewn on a Cowboy 3200, 277 thread. Your thoughts and helpful critiques always welcome. Quote

Members Dwight Posted February 4, 2020 Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 Cowboy leather is always fun, . . . and with the hundreds of makers back then, . . . you cannot do it "wrong", . . . but maybe some are more right than others. One time I had myself convinced I needed a Lone Ranger rig, . . . really studied it, . . . decided against it, . . . mine is more personal for me, . . . as yours is for you. AND, . . . my rig is adorned with a Tandy shelf buckle set. Good job. May God bless, Dwight Quote
Members JSage Posted February 4, 2020 Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 Looking really nice!! Please post more photos of it when you have it finished. Oh, and ditto what Dwight said. Quote
Members SickMick Posted February 7, 2020 Members Report Posted February 7, 2020 Great job. Simple clean lines. I've got 4 Cimarron 45's, they are excellent firearms. Quote
Members 1961Mike Posted April 10, 2020 Members Report Posted April 10, 2020 Hi, well executed and beautifully done. Not my style though. I'd put that on and 30 minutes later there would be 2 oil stains and a ketchup stain. Later Quote
Members TexasJack Posted April 15, 2020 Members Report Posted April 15, 2020 There's nothing quite like an old single action in .45LC. So much fun to shoot! And I like your holster. Nothing fancy, but it fits good and does the job. Quote
