Members Snakeoil Posted February 4, 2020 Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 This was in the drawer of my 29K70. I'm trying to figure out what it is/does. There is a small hole in the rounded bottom. I thought it might be an oil drip feed, but that does not make sense given how it is made. My other thought was a case for small hand sewing needles that you shake out one at a time. But again, no logical since nothing would stop more from coming out if not kept on its side. Anyone know what this might be? Only markings are Pat. Ap'd which you can see in one of the pics. Thanks, Rob Quote
Members Constabulary Posted February 4, 2020 Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 Measures? Just from looking at the pictures - maybe a shaving brush holder - kind of... If it is of a smaller size maybe a needle reservoir? Quote
Members jimi Posted February 4, 2020 Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 Its no from your 29k Thats for sure!. Ill bet they had needles in there or something like Folker said?? Quote
Members Snakeoil Posted February 4, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 4, 2020 Okay, thanks. It's just under an inch in diameter. Could be a container for a small spool of thread and you pull it out thru the hole in the bottom. That thought just occurred to me as one of my many dormant synapses decided to fire. Quote

Members Constabulary Posted February 5, 2020 Members Report Posted February 5, 2020 or maybe it was a sewing kit Quote
Members Handstitched Posted February 5, 2020 Members Report Posted February 5, 2020 Is this a hint ? : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392481182519 Its not the same, but it gives you a clue? HS Quote
Members Snakeoil Posted February 5, 2020 Author Members Report Posted February 5, 2020 Yup, I think it was some type of thread spool holder and the thread came out the bottom hole. Quote
