Is the lighter color leather on the inside of your notebook the spine or is it the soft liner leather?

The inside is a soft liner leather.  For better details on how it is done, check out a previous thread I had, it includes links to Jim Linnell's free course that really lays it out:

I have had 3 boxers and you managed to capture their personality in your tooling.

Thanks for that!  So many aspects to boxers, hard to decide which one to depict!

Very nice, the  exspression of the dog was captured beautifully. Floral is over the top, you have improved so much. All your hard work has really paid off.

The carving looks great to me.  I also agree a heavier leather to me is easier to carve and gives more detail.  The whole.package is very nice.   As always the hand stitching is beautiful. Wish I had your patience

Outstanding! The tooling and stamping are impressive, as is the stitching.

Appreciate it Ross, although I've seen some of your work like the wood machinist tool box, that had to take a lot more patience than this!

Thank you very much!  I went a bit bigger on the stitching than I normally do, used a set of Blanchard Irons in 7spi, a medium awl with 432 Fil Au Chinois, I think it is a decent combo.
