Hi Leatherworker friends.  Here's the latest idea I'm working on.  The pattern and details still need a few tweaks but let me know what you think! The color combo is pretty loud in this one but just having some fun.  Maybe well suited for a Daytona in Daytona?  I just got some Ostrich leg and I think that this might work well.

Really nice work.  Is that Teju?  I can imagine it matching some of the more audacious watch faces out there...

Nice! That could work really well with some of the customisable digital watch faces!

I like it but I think it would be killer if you could get edge paint to match the green.  That would tie it all together.  But it is cool "as-is".

P.S., forgot to mention that the workmanship is beautiful

It's a fugazi gator leather from Vergillio.  I'll probably make a few out of the real deal and some Ostrich once I practice a bit more.

Thanks!  I could color match with the green.  That would look nice too!

I never thought of that.  I'm a mechanical watch guy but I should try and get a digital watch for some pics.  Great idea!

That is nice work, very colourful

But why the 'color blind' in your title?

I'm colour blind but I see those colours as a nice mix

Thanks! Just kidding around, I do like loud and sometimes opposing colors...  Hopefully no offense to your color blindness!!

Nice work, are you going to reverse the colour scheme? if so i think the blue edge would work better, still think it look ok as it is.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the feedback.  I'll probably try a few different combinations but reversing the color combo would be fun to try.

Thanks.  They are fiddly.  I'm still ruining more of them than I'd like.  Well I guess messing any up is one too many!

Thanks!  It's an embossed cow hide.  I guess this pattern is more on the scale of a smaller reptile but it's also available in a larger gator pattern.  I purchased it from OA Leather supply in Canada.

Wow, very noticeable.  If I were to see these on a table along with a bunch of other crafting type stuff (thinking arts/crafts fair) I would definitely do a double take.  I also like the idea of a green edge.   Well done!

@sonnyboone I love it   nothing wrong with the colours .  The green is very striking, quite impressed with that .  I often say to myself if I'm doing something different, " be bold & be brave"  .  You never know if you don't give it a go .

I recently received some roo skins, check these beauties out:

I'm pretty anxious to get started  on them ,  I'll be thinking outside my regular square   :)

Well done :)
