thawk8541 Report post Posted July 24, 2021 A friend of mine made a sword and needed a back scabbard made for it. I mostly make belts, holsters and and sheaths, so I figured I could give this a shot.

chuck123wapati Report post Posted July 24, 2021 beautiful work and a really big job!! Wont those rebar hooks mar the weapon, i would seriously think about covering them with something if they are metal..
Rahere Report post Posted July 24, 2021 It's not so much the sweep as the ceiling collapse on the backswong. In between, some girlie type fixes him fast and small. You can see the cops' reaction now, "we're going to need a bigger van"
spacedog Report post Posted July 24, 2021 Man, that thing is huge. Can it actually be unsheathed? I guessing that's why you didn't make one long scabbard, but instead almost two separate pieces. Nice job making it work.
thawk8541 Report post Posted July 24, 2021 Thanks everyone! It’s a huge sword for sure. Chuck123wapiti- that bracket is actually leather covered with the stitching one the outside, no rebar. Spacedog- I did manage to unsheath it (outside of course), I can’t imagine having to carry something like that around.
