BoxerMel Posted September 27, 2021 Report Posted September 27, 2021 It turned out much better than I was expecting it to, as I was working on it. I almost gave up. Lots of room for improvement though, so I’m diving right back in for round two! Quote
Members PastorBob Posted September 27, 2021 Members Report Posted September 27, 2021 Wow nice detail in the carving as well as the painting! Looks tedious, but great job!!! Quote
garypl Posted September 27, 2021 Report Posted September 27, 2021 Looks great! Is it just a sample panel or is it part of a project? Gary Quote
Members rleather Posted September 27, 2021 Members Report Posted September 27, 2021 You nailed one of the most difficult, imo, parts and that is the eyes. Really a very nice project! Quote

This was a practice piece that I added two eyelets on the top right and left corners so it can be hung like a picture. I am working on a second, similar piece that I added some text to. If it turns out decent I would like to hang it just outside my craft room. Quote

Great work! Quote
Members battlemunky Posted September 27, 2021 Members Report Posted September 27, 2021 I really like the wall too. Nice homage to your pooch! Quote

Members Handstitched Posted October 2, 2021 Members Report Posted October 2, 2021 What a laborious looking piece, but so well done . I still have trouble doing eyes on horses, but you've got it just perfect HS Quote

Members Bel Posted November 20, 2021 Members Report Posted November 20, 2021 That looks really nice, I like the way you drew and tooled the lines in the tan fur, it reminds me of those carved wood pieces that have segments all fitting together to make up an animal face. Quote
