I have a set of the dremel burnishers and one of his mauls. They work ab-so-lutely freakin' great. You will not be sorry. The maul is the best Ive ever used and I'm debating getting a lighter one for light tooling.

I have one chucked up in my drill press. You will be more than pleased! I LOVE mine. I just use some saddle soap on my edges and get a perfect edge all the time.

I like hearing these good things!

I never knew what good burnished edges looked like til I joined this forum. I think it may become an obsession.

I ordered the the dremel set recently, and a maul. They should be here in the next week and half or so, expecting to see them hit Canada Customs anytime, then I will no longer be able to track them.

I can't wait. I might take back my boyfriends artist's collection I made and redo the edges.

Got my confirmation email, and Ed says it should ship in 2 weeks. Also confirmation email that my makers stamp should arrive next week.

My makers mark is a throw off my guitar logo that I use for the custom guitars I build.

Some of yall may recognize this name, especially if you are from KY.

They took longer than expected to arrive, but they are very pretty, I have tried them briefly, and they seem to work well, although I need to work on shaping my edges first.

Mine arrived just shy of a month after ordering. It is high quality, and works phenominally well. I can't believe how nice I can make edges in just a few minutes. If you have a sharp edge tool, you don't even need to sand if everything is even.

So the lead time is over 2 weeks as stated on their web site? I ordered mine 3/27 and have not heard a word when the expected ship date will be.

When I ordered mine I heard nothing for a month until I emailed to inquire. Then I got a tracking # and it turns out it didn't ship until a month after I paid. I was not too happy about waiting that long with no information, particularly since the initial email implied it would be shipping within a few days of payment. Over all I am happy with the product and the dealer was polite and honest, I would have just prefered a bit more communication. I would order again and I would recommend them.

FWIW, after having owned one of their drill press models (yes, mine is chucked too and I love it), I recently ordered one of their hand-held burnishers online (think of the Tandy one on steroids in beautiful cocobolo). Relatively inexpensive and beautiful to hold and work with. It arrived within days of my online order. Very pleased with the product and the turn-around time.

Thanks,

Michelle

OK so I ordered my Holster Burnisher on the 25th of March with a Ship date of 04/08/14 which is completely fine. But now I'm on my 4th e-mail looking for my order, I did get one response that it was shipped. Attached was a tracking number, unfortunately the tracking number shows that the order was shipped to Singapore!? I live in Canada. I sent another e-mail yesterday but no response yet.

Ordered mine on March 30 and got them on April 28. Ed probably was preparing for the Sheridan show, and has more work than a one man show can handle...don't we wish we all had that problem. The product looks and works great.

except for the fact that he replied in another thread recently to say he does not make these anymore and doesn't sound like he has anything directly to do with them now, so......it's not him that is lagging...

I ordered new bit for my burnisher motor from an English tool maker I know. It was a custom job, from my simple sketch and he did a great job. It fits my motor shaft perfectly and runs without any vibrations. He trowed in one of his awls as a gift too. Its a Little beauty.

And of course for leather, its cocobolo and brass.

This is Christmas all over again.
