I'm interested in a used benchtop leather cutter for shoemaking (such as the Landis 5 in 1, Rodi 6 in 1, etc) in good working order. I understand that cutting blades may need replacing, of course. Shipping would be to San Diego. Thanks! PJM

I can't decide between the Weaver 4 Ton or 8 Ton clicker press. I will be clicking 10-11oz leather coasters mostly. Money is a concern, so I am leaning towards the 4 ton, but if the 8 ton will cut the leather better/faster, I will consider spending the extra money. Which do you all recommend?? Thank you for any feedback.

Hi, Weavers 8 ton manual clicker has a rather hefty (to me) price tag so I thought I would ask if anyone has had experience with it before I pony up. I would also be grateful if anyone has a lead on a used one in the Maine, Mass, New Hampshire area. Thank you!

My Easy Edger is leaving lines on the bottom side of the strap where it comes into contact with the feet that press the leather against the blades. I’ve tried adjusting the position of those feet but it seems when the feet are loose enough to not mark the leather they aren’t keeping enough pressure on the strap and when they’re tight enough to keep the leather pressed against the blade they’re marking the leather. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Weaver suggested I adjust the foot position but alas, here we are. Is this just a compromise people make for the convenience of easy strap edging? I’d just as soon bevel them by hand as to lea…

So I picked up a barely used Master Tools leather Splitter, was told and can confirm it is ~ 1 year old. When I checked out the demo at Weaver the same machine was splitting 5 oz. leather down to 2-3 oz with ease. I have calibrated my splitter per the instructions but can't get it to split with this precision. It currently tends to start splitting a piece of leather correctly then the top layer gets thinner and thinner and stops skiving usually about 2 inches into a strip of leather Does anyone have experience with this machine and can offer some advice how to calibrate it to split thinner leather? I have noticed the bottom roller, which is spring loaded, gets pushed dow…

Hoping someone with a mighty wonder (4ton) can help me out... I'm in the process of getting a leather stamp made for embossing leather and I wanted to find out what the optimal die height is for using with the mighty wonder? Is it 3/4" or 1 1/4" in height? I don't yet own a mighty wonder but am hoping to get one soon... I just want to be sure that the stamp that I'm getting now will work well with the machine once I get it... I believe the documentation says it can adjust for dies between 3/4" - 1 1/4" but I didn't know if a particular die height was better than the other... I was leaning towards 1 1/4" because I figure it'd be better to be on the taller end than on the…
