Hi All, I'm still searching the interwebs looking for a template to make a wallet to hold a 7 point star badge - specifically the badge part. It would all be so easy if I could trace out the badge but the plane fare and vacation time required is cost prohibitive.. Does anyone here have a source for a template of the star cut out? My research has shown me that they come in so many flavors it's boggling. I'll take a 3x3 but the one I'm building this for is in 2-3/4" flavor. Thanks All.

I posted the inlayed panel of this bag but here is the finished piece. Black buffalo(I think, i bought it forever ago) metalic blue for the inlay. The wife is happy with it and as luck would have it, I found a strap to match the interior lining! Not perfect but came out ok I think

Messed up flap for a hip purse so I decided to use it for color test. I really love playing with washes and gradients in color... and this tutorial ( [link] ) on DeviantArt really inspired me. Rose by Al Stohlman, flair in carving by me... I'm not traditional, I'm not realistic.. so I'm trying to combine my style... with existing designs, until I get used to how more realistic things work. Rose: several wash layers of red and water. Towards the end I mixed in some purple. Stem and Leaves: several washes of various mixes of green, yellow, and light brown. I don't know the ratio, I go by looks. I went in variants of layers to get depth. I used white as a highlight,…

I'm making a bag for my wife. I showed her a picture of a bag aaron hizer at makers made and had to try it. The inlay design is what I'm taking from Aaron. The bag is a different pattern. It is my first attempt at inlay work too so, If anyone knows where to do better let me know. Cheers!

Hello I have a silver bladed antique foldable knife and fork for which I would like a two compartment leather case made. I would prefer a case with a pull off lid, similar to one made for holding cigars. Is there anyone in the UK you may know off that would help please? Thank you

A friend of mine wants me to make southwestern style stamped belts for his son and his wife. They live in AZ and it will be a surprise for them both. What would be a standard width for a lady's belt? 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" Men's is usually 1 1/2"

I made a first strap from chrome tanned leather (lamb nappa on the inside) which turned out ugly but comfortable. My second one is from veg tan (same leather on the inside) and looks better, I think, but it feels stiff and uncomfortable. The thing is, I bought an Orient Blue Moon (very reasonably priced as automatic watch go) with leather strap and it also feels stiff and uncomfortable. So how is a good watch strap supposed to feel? Is it worth greasing/oiling the red leather (from the underside for a new strap, the red is a sort of coating) or should that have been done during tanning (i. e. do I need to find a different leather) ?
