  1. Thanks Smartee and kiwican. The leather is just scrap I had laying around the shop. It is 2-3 oz. upholstery leather. The lining is glazed pig and the heel counter is 8-9 oz. tooling leather.
  2. More pictures. I had to make new vamps because I messed one up. I didn’t have enough of the brown leather so I had to go with a different color. Making boots is way harder than I expected. First picture is the lining sewn to the upper panel. Second picture is the boot turned right side out. The third picture is the boot sitting on a last. Not sure why the pictures are sideways.
  3. Here are a few pictures of my boot pieces. Hopefully I can finish them soon. I need to sew the tops together and then see the uppers to the tops once they dry on the crimp boards. There are a lot of steps and time that go into making a pair of boots.
  4. I have a Singer 111w155 for sale. Machine is in great condition and works great. It has a new thread tension assembly, new hook, and new feed dogs. I am asking $875 or best offer. I live in GA. I will ship but only after payment has cleared and buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. I can pallet the machine and load on a truck.
  5. I have an Adler 30-1 for sale. It is in great working condition. I just don’t use it much and I need the room for a new machine. I am asking $995 or best offer. I am in GA and I will ship but payment must clear first.
  6. I have myself and one other guy that might be able to help. Where do I get more information? Thanks!
  7. Here are two stools I did this week. Both covered in the same leather. The tall one is stitched with maroon thread. The short one is stitched with red thread and was painted a custom metallic pearl red to match a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
  8. Thanks for the info Phillip. I will check that out.
  9. I just finished my first set of heels. They are not perfect, but I think they turned out ok for my first time.
  10. Yes the sleeves still need to be finished. Get the sleeves fit into the armholes of the jacket and making sure that both sleeves were clocked correctly and that they were not puckered at the shoulders. I definitely learned a bunch of small things with this one. Hopefully the next one will be a little better.
  11. This is my first attempt at making a jacket. It turned out ok.
  12. Well I am trying to upload more but I can’t get the pictures to load.
  13. I finally got my shop finished. So here are a few pics. It’s a little messy now, but we will get it straightened up.
  14. Thanks for the advice. It is for a sanctioned racing body and I already have the approved specs for the jacket. I raced years ago with his dad, so I was aware that certain things needed to be done to be legal. As far as buying one for $50-$100, those don’t exist. The cheapest one is around $350. To me it is not about the price. Being able to make something for a friend is priceless. I have added a picture of an example. It’s not the best picture, but you can get an idea of what I am looking for.
  15. I have looked for a cloth pattern and I can’t find anything. I did find a pattern that I thought I could adapt to my needs, but it didn’t work out.
  16. I have been asked by a friend to make a leather racing jacket for his son who races go karts. It is basically a motorcycle racing jacket. i have searched everywhere and i can't find a pattern. If anyone can help me locate one, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not looking for a freebie, i will pay for one. Thanks!
  17. Wiz, I do have some. Tell me where to send them and I will drop them in the mail.
  18. I may have some. I’ll check this afternoon and let you know.
  19. Thanks a bunch! That is exactly what I need. For some reason I have a mental block about laying these out.
  20. I am looking for a pattern for a passport case and a credit card wallet. I have a customer looking for a matching set. I have freehanded a pattern for each, but they just aren't turning out right. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
