Not this one. I've been using it for the past year. But it is sold pending funds. Thanks for the offer.
-
Was another one. I trade in a few braiding tools when I come across them because good tools aren't always easy to find. I have two of these on my bench.

I have an Osborne splitter for sale in excellent condition for $250. PM if interested. Thanks.
-
Some reins I built for Elko this year.
-
U could probably get on either Nate's or Lelands website and email them for info on any upcomming seminars.
-
Nice piece Brian.
-
Christmas order I'm finishing up. 12 plait romal reins. 77 pineapple knots.
-
Curlyjo is right if you want very thin lace it's better with calf or horse hide and it's also stronger. The more you split the weaker the string.
-
Looks great Brian! Someones goin to be happy.
-
Very Nice! Is that horse hide?
-
It's folded, sewn, and edged round then dried.

When I braid 8, I separate the string in 4 & 4 braiding in an under 2 over two sequence. It pulls down better this way and is easier to keep my lines straight. You'll find tha tyour strong hand usually pulls down tighter on that side so you might have pull the opposing strings individually to stay straight. Hope this helps. Bret.

It's a solid sewn core. The bosal is really stiff but some trainers like them especially if they are riding a stud horse or horse that's a little heavy on the bosal.
-
A 5/8" & 1/4" bosals I just finished. Rawhide with Roo trim.
-
Sound advice.

Brad is a good name but I'm used to Bret. Thanks for the nice comments. I haven't got any work that far east though.
-
Thanks everyone. The reins are 43" (one side-86" total) with a 36" romal (without popper). This would be the length for bridal chains, about 54" or 56" would be good if no chains are used. The buttons are pineapple knots over a ring knot.

Here's my latest work, Sixty button eight plait rein and twelve plait romal.

Nice Work!

All the braiders I have conversed with have been very willing to share their knowledge. Charly live just west of me here in Idaho and puts on a braiding class in Elko during the Poetry Gathering along with Doug Groves and I'm shure they'd help a guy if ya asked.
-
Charley would tell ya but I'll take a stab at it. It's a pineapple knot that's laced over a section from top to bottom.
