  1. OK, just how old does something have to be - to be called Vintage?

      Vintage can also be used to represent a span or year, rather than age. 1950s vintage machine, or a 1963 vintage model, for instance. Some people will call just about anything older than 10 years "vintage" or anything outmoded or obsolete as Hellfire Jack states. Nothing quite like going into an "antique store" and seeing a "vintage VCR" for sale to make you think some people are abusing the term.

      I believe 25 for vintage, and 100 for antique status. Many cars can get vintage plates when they hit 25 years.

      The vintage term is very abused as of late. I've seen new items still available in store labeled as "vintage." I was under the impressing it followed the same lines as cars, like what BIGGUNDOCTOR said, take it with a grain of salt, I guess.
