Tippmann Boss
Eaglestroker replied to Steven Kelley's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I was fortunate in that I got to pretty much skip hand stitching. I can/do on some projects but had access to a Boss from day one. From a beginners aspect the Boss is a saving grace to the hands but can be a finicky pain in the rear in no time flat if you aren't constantly tweaking and testing. I have no experience with any other machines but my relationship with the Boss is a love/hate one. I think it fills a very particular niche that most either under or over utilize as a tool.If I were to buy a machine it would be a Cobra Class 4. -
I, for one, fit into the category of a relatively new holster maker. I watch a few different forums and I find it amazing not only what some people have the brass to sell, but what it sells for. All the while knowing they've only done 'X' number of holsters with ZERO testing before pushing it out the door. My point is simply some people don't care, or as mlapaglia put so eloquently some people just need you to gently open there eyes. You don't know which unless/until you try. I've been personally effected by a few members here that have 'opened my eyes' and it makes a difference in the end result.

Screwin Up Here...
Eaglestroker replied to Nooj's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
This. Just the other day I got in a hurry and ended up screwing up a really nice holster because the stitching got too close to the edge and blew out the side. When I mess up 1 I mess up 3, and that's wasting time and money so it's time to walk away! -
Welcome! I'd love to see some of your laser work. I have hunting land in Melbourne and fish the White, great area!

Just say yes to the exposed trigger! I based this holster loosely off of 'the wild bunch' rigs I've seen on here. I wanted something with a slim profile while working on the farm, I love the pancake but with a knife and flashlight pouch with an extra mag or two the belt just has too much on it to keep them all in convenient grip and out of my back. The next one will be a little fancier as I've been teaching myself how to lace and I think that big fat welted edge is begging for it.. I will probably skive the belt loop down where it's stitched so it doesn't sit so far away from the body of the holster as well. If you want to see anything particular besides this I have a few more photos. -

Thank you Shooter, that was my favorite of the group. My first 6" revolver actually, took two try's to get it to my liking. My revolver holsters seem to attract the most attention for whatever reason! Here's another look for you, I'm especially proud of how my edges are starting to turn out. This was the first version. I didn't leave enough room on the edge and about two stitches popped out the edge, I'm happier with version two all around so it works out. -
The lacing looks great, and I really like the color!

Mike, I stuck them in as attachments now so that should fix the problem. -Robert -
I've had more time than usual to spend on leather as of late - these are just a few of my favorites! Critiques and comments are welcome, my last critics made my basket weave MUCH better.

Bbq Rigs....
Eaglestroker replied to Rayban's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Frank, just giving credit where it is due. I tool a little and the level of foresight and your steady hand amaze me. Even my most carefully thought out pieces seem to have more than a few hitches! To Chuck, that rig just blew a gasket on my end. I have no interest in learning to carve but WOW! Some true artists on this board. -

Frank, that is probably the nicest all around rig I've seen. I'm inspired! -

Judging by the consistency and quality the work is well deserved, congratulations! -
