  10. I am a newbie and making a belt for a friend who wants it colored light purple. I am using Angelus brand dye...but after diluting it with rubbing alcohol it remains to be dark(almost black) . I want a light purple result...any advice would be welcomed and appreciated. Thank You...Craig h
  11. I would like make a cuff and mount or inlay my old dog tag...I need suggestions ..I would not like to use rivets through my dog tag if possible. Any suggestions will be thankful ...I am novice .

  14. Katsass I like the fine job you did on your holster...espically the dye are stain finish. Would you mind telling us newbies how you obtained such a fine result. Thank You...Craig h

I have learned from this site to use Extra Virgin Olive Oil...I dampen a spong...put a coat onto the leather..let it dry for about an hour and put on two or three more coats with drying between coats. Then when satisfied I give it three coats of leather balm...so for I have been pleased. If you want to make it darker let it sit in the hot sun between coats of olive oil...

  17. I am sure this question has been answered somewhere in the Form.. Do you use a stitch groover with the leather cased or dry...or does it make a difference? Try to learn the best way of doing things... Thanks to all that reply...
  18. Just plain beautiful work..for sure a work of art. May I ask what style of lacing was used ...what size contra's ...what type of dye are finished used? Amazing work!

  22. Nicely done...professional done for sure! Where do you find how to make the strap...I would like to make a similar one for my son...it would be a first for me.
