  1. Nice stuff!
  2. Gotta love a good solid home made bench Great job! Now you can focus on spending a fortune on tools like we all do
  3. Sheridan order for some latigo and old tools. Now the wait

  4. Do you have a website so we can see some of your other work??? I really love the first few wallets, like to see some more Thanks for sharing the story Scott
  5. For a simple gusset bag, try a leather tote style. There is an oiled leather one in my gallery
  6. This is really great stuff!! Beautiful wallets, impressed you are hand stitching most things You gotta tell us the Mitt Romney story that goes with the last pic
  7. You did well both cost wise and tool wise as those stamps and hand tools are likely old and still well made
  8. This is one of my favorite threads.....just love seeing other peoples work spaces
  9. I think you did a great job Good stitching and contrast, nice leather selection, love the copper rivets Overall a really great start to bag making
  10. I think you are courageous to post and ask for critique, especially on something so hard. I was trying to make a St Patrick's Day lapel out of leather and totally muffed it up. I won't show it to my dog! I think the "DB " comment was someone signing their initials Cheers
  11. This is a TOUGH subject to carve and paint. Keep plugging away at it and improving. Those do look like penises in the original as well....just weird design (I know its not yours) I would call that a coat of d!@*s instead of a coat of arms
  12. That is a gorgeous holster BM

Your colors and designs really pop Nice work Are you using a laser for etching some of these designs??
  14. case looks good nicely lined with piggy skin?
  15. Yes, I like the pebble pattern of the leather the stained areas bring out. Maybe we don't give Tandy enough credit some times. Do you do your own bag designs and patterns as well?? Chuck some stuff into your gallery and lets see
  16. So you used your own leather and used the kit as templates?? That is what I would do as well
  17. Thanks for all of this, had no idea it existed. If you can turn out custom stamps for projects it doesn't matter how long they last....just make another. I am sure I paid more for an early laser printer in the office I've been pondering a laser to make images....use them at work but the pricing for any industry is ridiculous.
  18. great idea, like to see more of the machinery you are using to make this
  19. I like it We had a big discussion about this a while ago http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=45368&hl=

  22. This is a good start for basic technique videos from Tandy Leather "http://www.tandyleatherfactory.ca/en-cad/en-cad/Leathercraft-Videos.aspx"
  23. So true. I was warned that Berners (Bernese Mountain Dogs) work their way into your heart...just didn't think it would be so fast. We have had her one week and I am so happy she is here. Melts my heart when she rolls on her back and wants a tummy rub..while chewing on my sleeve.
  24. Make sure you post some pictures of your project for us to see...maybe even some design and work in progress stuff. It is cool seeing how others attack a project on their own and it sounds great!
  25. Nice sheath Cool texture contrasts in your photos.....very professional looking
