  1. That's a cool story. It is amazing how much scent can generate memories and emotions. You can be in a busy public place and a girl with THAT perfume walks past and whammo those memories flood back
  2. first time, this is amazing work!!!
  3. There is so much to learn on here from some amazing artists Take some time and look through the site, galleries, technique threads Keep plugging away at it!

How much of a discount do you get with their gold club? I was just on their site and registered. I pay 150.00 a year to get elite prices with Tandy and it looks like springfield is wayyyy better on their membership. They also price match I think I read?

BUT Tandy is like an hour from me and I can pick out my leather also. Last time I ordered leather on line I got a hide with more bug bites and scratches on it than the tree outside.

  10. Oh yea, I use a "new car smell" spray from Griot's Garage "http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/interior+car+scent+4+ounces.do?sortby=ourPicks" It is kind of leathery I guess
  11. Yep, I am in the same boat a leather smell lover for sure! I just smelled my leather coffee cup wrap I made when I did the dishes tonight. Do that all the time. I don't think I would work with leather if it was stinky. Same with woodworking....maple, cedar, cocobolo all smell gorgeous when you cut them.

    Waist Belt

Love the stitching design Looks GREAT!
  14. That looks really great, you did a fine job restoring it probably to better than original form. Thanks for the tip on sealing the inside to avoid adhesive seeping....I will use that technique for sure.
  15. I forgot to mention your edging looks very professional...nice smooth, clean edges Oh, and good dimension on the keeper...it is easy to get it too fat or too skinny so it can look weird
  16. Looks awesome!! The only minor thing is I find the stitch that overlaps the edge distracting from the clean lines of the belt Minor preference
  17. Great looking workspace there!! Loving your workbench, tools and huge cutting table Nice stuff
  18. It all looks great Everything is so disposable nowadays, good to use something rather than chuck it out
  19. Sorry Billy, your pictures are perfectly sized. I was talking about the ones that take over your screen when you open them. Hope I didn't offend there
  20. It looks great especially for early on. You are way ahead on the learning curve! The next stuff you do you gotta make those cool details pop...like with a resist or highlight color. Then some contrast stitching. If you are artistic you can use some acrylic paint. Golden is a great acrylic brand available in art stores and comes in small plastic containers. It is cheaper than Tandy's Cova colors and waaaay better IMHO
  21. Following along Show us more when you get some dies Great ingenuity!
