  1. No idea how to explain the item I am seeking to use on key fobs but they are depicted on eBay, item number 390878152683 and if someone could look at these and tell me of a supplier it would be much appreciated. They need not be specifically automotive and prefer to be able to locate many different types that attach in the manner of the one depicted. Okay to email direct to; raysouth1@hotmail.com or via the LW Site mail system. Your assistance will be much appreciated. God Bless. Ray
  2. I currently use the long boxes, stacked on shelving that is chromed, that the leather arrives in. Also have used some round tubes in the past. Had some large pvc pipe of 6" dia. and was going to make a permanent rack for my leather but when I checked the price of pvc , it became a no go for me. I am now researching concrete form tubes that I have been told is reasonably priced at some locations. Have not located those locations to date. I do make an attempt to keep the leather away from light sources to prevent discoloration from same. I will add that the boxes I use from the shippers has never presented a problem for me. I just close them and mark the outside with the contents of each and makes it easier to locate what I need, Like many folks, I have an excessive amount of leather, tools and supplies that I will never be able to use. Hope you find a solution for your storage situation soon. God Bless. Ray

  9. When time permits, take a look at the master Carver offering I have for sale on this site. It has a reciprocating handpiece, along with other types and price is very low for what you will be getting. Never thought of using this for stamping but perhaps it could be done. Was not able to get it into use so cannot tell much more about it. God Bless and good luck. Ray
  10. You might try BEILERS MFG. & SUPPLY, with warehouse at 3025 Harvest Dr., Ronks, Pa. 17572 or manufacturing at 290 S. Groffdale Rd., Leola, Pa. Phones: Office and warehouse; 717-768-0174 and manufacturing at 717-656-2179. It is my understanding that hey make the machines offered by the Amish and they are, indeed, very well made. I have one that I purchased from Millers and am very pleased. They also have a great selection of brass rolls that are superb. I have seen anew machine by Beilers and it has an open end shaft that mat allow larger rolls to be used. God Bless. Ray
  11. Well Troy, Chris did a fantastic job of explaining the use of a light box/table. I have finally had the opportunity to use my new light box and very pleased with the results. Makes pattern making a lot easier, now that I can see clearly. The idea of using a light box came to me from dvd about making sheaths and just had to have one after that. Great time saver and extra special now that I don't have to strain my eyes to see what I want to accomplish. Thank you all, for the information and response. God Bless. Ray
  12. Hey David, Looks great but I have to say I would have a problem with the chicken head. lol. Might jump out and get me. Hope all is well at home. God Bless. Ray

  15. Thank you all. Some nifty ideas here but broke down and ordered a Port-Trace 11 x 18 and hope it helps. It supposedly, has two 15 watt fluorescent lamps. I like the idea of making something myself but not able to do much in that area at present time so scrounged a few bucks and did the Amazon thing. Hope it arrives soon. Thanks again for the input. God Bless. Ray
  16. Howdy All. Any folks use light boxes to make patterns? If so, what do you find as the best unit, best size, and where did you purchase? I thought about making one from a 2' x 2' fluorescent fixture that I have several of but no idea how that would work. Probably heavier to move around and store so thought I would see what others are using. I have looked around at various light boxes that fluctuate vastly in price but still not able to come up with a workable solution that would not break my bank. All assistance will be appreciated. God Bless. Ray
