  1. Hello All. I have made a final offer for the remaining new Ring's Molds in "FOR SALE" section and is a great price if you can purchase the remaining 6 molds. All new and never used. God Bless. Ray
  2. Howdy All. Okay, here is my final offer for the remaining 6 Ring's Holster Molds. No. 7 Vertec has been sold. Take all six at $28.00 each for a total of $168.00 plus 17.90 flat rate Priority Mail. Total of 185.90 gets you six brand new, unused molds. Hope someone has a good home for them. God Bless. Ray
  3. Hello Modad, Shipping has gone amok! Very costly, regardless of shipper. Large heavy parcels are very high and the leather tubes/boxes used by many of the suppliers are costly items to ship. Have had to stop doing business with a couple of suppliers due to ultra high shipping charges. $15.00 for a $10.00 item is out of line, at least for me. I make every attempt to find suppliers that offer free shipping but that is becoming extremely difficult. I suppose the lower oil prices has something to do with it. lol. God Bless. Ray
  4. Hello Mike, Happy that you are on the site and your workmanship is superb. God Bless. Ray
  5. Hello Troy, This is my third attempt to respond this morning. No idea where the problem lies but been having minor site problems here for a week or so, on this site only. Perhaps I will make it this time. That setup is a great idea and to find for $20.00 was even better. Did you have to have shipped or able to pick up locally? Is the cd/dvd player a built in or a separate item? Doubt if I would find such a deal around here but am going to give it a shot. I have plenty of those, "DUUUUHHHHH" days and would probably never had discovered this easy solution. Thanks again, for jogging my brain cells. lol. God Bless. Ray
  6. Hey Troy, Glad you were able to avoid them and end up here on the site. Better here than there. lol. God Bless. Ray
  7. Hello Calvus, Belt looks very nice and sure he appreciates it. God Bless. Ray
  8. Thank you Camano, Troy and Zulu. All of the information is great. Went to Chuck Burrows site to consider the dvd set but it was out of stock. Did find it at USAKNIFEMAKERS.COM and ordered today. Can't seem to get enough information around here. It is easy to understand how to make the basic sheath, which I have done in the past, but always looking to improve and pick up other methods and ideas that others use and may be helpful for me. I have decided recently to concentrate on making small items that I can finish in a reasonable amount of time. Not much interested in marketing as my ability to get out and about suffers and selling online has not proved to be a good thing for me. Many others have good results but I am lacking in computer skills so it is a hassle, at times, for me to accomplish anything of value. At least I have fun on this site and always seem to meet great folks willing to assist when needed. Books are easier as I can open them while working on my projects in the shop but will have to learn to grasp the information in the dvd's and take it with me when I head for the fun area. Might take a few trips but I can do it, eventually. lol. Thank you again, for all of the advice and assistance. God Bless. Ray
  9. I want to thank everyone for the wealth of information pertaining to sheath making books. Now I am seeking books on making badge wallets/cases/holders, and hope someone has some good information on this subject as well. I had an older badge holder that I was planning on using as a basic template but it got away from me in the shop. Probably never to be seen again. lol. I have not been able to locate anything about this topic but my searching capabilities are not really up to snuff. Any assistance will certainly be appreciated. God Bless. Ray
  10. Thank you for the information. Never seems to be enough information but the information I am getting here is going to be very beneficial. Enjoy learning techniques used by other leathercrafters and these folks are certainly very experienced. Great help. God bless. Ray
  11. Howdy Y'all, Thank you for the information and Scott, any links would be appreciated. Now hope to find Chuck Burrows and any others I can find. Troy, how do I find that dvd? I do want to take a "stab" at making some extraordinary sheaths and need tons of ideas to get me on the way. God Bless. Ray
  12. Thank you Amigos. Printed out the pdf and will be looking for the book. Will also be looking for the Chuck Burrows video. Many thanks. God Bless. Ray
  13. Howdy Folks, Anyone know of good books on sheath making ? I have a copy of Making Leather Sheaths, volume 1, by David Holter and Peter Fronteddu but not able to find anything else while searching net today. Hope someone knows of something. God Bless. Ray
  14. Seeking books on sheath making, other than, Making Leather Sheaths, volume 1, by David Holter and Peter Fronteddu. Not able to locate anything other than the book listed above. Hope someone knows of others that may touch on the subject. God bless. Ray
  15. I happened to be browsing/searching the net a bit today and decided to see what publications were available for sheath making. Was surprised to find that there was not much available. Making Leather Knife Sheaths, volume 1, by David Holter and Peter Fronteddu was the only thing I could find that addressed the topic. Anybody know of other books that have been done on this subject? Hope there is more out there and someone will be able to head me in the right direction. God Bless. Ray
  16. Great and very different wallet. Nick, are you leaning more to using cnc than laser? Just curious. Received the logos today and many thanks. They are very nice. God Bless. Ray
  17. Hello Brushpopper, I'm an old timer and I swear, you look like Cisco Kid. lol. Your leatherwork is outstanding and very happy that you provided the link that allowed me to see the wonderful creations. You are an "ARTISAN", of the greatest magnitude. God Bless. Ray
  18. Hello Serena, Interesting question and sure you will receive input from others. My opinion is just that, an opinion and no idea if it is the best way to go but something I would consider if doing such a project. I use DAP water based contact cement and has worked well for me. Available at most of the popular hardware stores and priced reasonable. May be something better but I am not aware of any other products. May be something better from a medical supplier that would be considered safe to use. Good luck and hope you find something that will do the trick. God Bless. Ray
  19. HMMMMMMMMMM--------- I suppose I am just out of the loop. I have heard of the bitcoin thing but do not understand a thing about it. Rather confusing to an old timer that has always dealt in hard cash. I think, after reading the information in this topic that it would be best to have extensive knowledge about the stock market, be a mathematician, a computer wizard, and be able to spend your time following what is going on with this thing. When I first heard of the term, I wondered what a bitcoin looked like. lol. After collecting coins for a number of years, I thought that this might be something to add to the collection lol. Now I think I have learned that it is something that is not tangible or something one can physically touch. Don't think I could ever keep track of that type of currency. Hard enough to do with the paper and metal I use daily. Not knocking the use of whatever this is, just don't think I could ever be comfortable with the product. Best for the electronic savvy folks of today. Good luck to all that find it of interest. God Bless. Ray
  20. PawPaw, that is a superb find. I know you will enjoy that tool. The wheels are great and you certainly lucked out, so to speak, when you found this treasure. Even though I don't use my embosser that much, I like having it around so when the mood strikes I can create something with it. The wheels/rolls are the expensive part of embossing, especially those made of brass/bronze metals. I also use those made by Bunkhouse Tools and they have a large selection of interesting rolls. Hope to see the end result when all cleaned and polished. God Bless. Ray
  21. Hello Thor, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I am not computer savvy and searching the net is, at times, a real chore. Contacting Microsoft for some assistance has never been an easy task. One example is how to properly set up my default email client? Huh? I do notice that it will not allow me to respond to emails by clicking on the email link and aleays get that message. Regardless, I enjoy every day and hope you do the same. God Bless. Ray
  22. Good Morning David, I doubt you could get out the door to do the dumpster thing. lol. You should be able to open the door in a month or so. God Bless. Ray
  23. Ditto, all of the above. Great folks to work with and very helpful. God Bless. Ray
  24. Great topic. It seems as though Etsy is the place to go for custom goods but I often wonder why more folks don't use some of the new free sites that seem to be up and coming places to post and sell. I am not an expert but one could begin by listing a few items to get thing going and then add or stop using the free service if not able to wait for site to produce results. Perhaps many of you have made an attempt to use the sites and found them lacking in some way but I have found them to be responsive to adjustments and needs of the users. So many places we could go and makes choices difficult. www.ecrater.com is one site that is free and the other that I am familiar with is, www.webstore.com , one I find easy to work with. Just passing along this information and not intended to question ones selection/s of sites used. Perhaps some will become aware of something new. God Bless. Ray
  25. Thank you Thor. I suppose that I am thinking of something similar to Printmaster. Attempted to contact those folks but they seem to have hidden themselves away from direct customer contact. Don't understand that type of mentality but seems to be the norm for many companies today. I am by no means, a computer whiz so it may just be me. Just attempting to receive an answer from Microsoft is an ordeal that I am not able to overcome. lol. Thanks again and God Bless. Ray
