that is a really nice holster...i have done just a couple of inlay's like your's...it is starting to look better but i'm still learning....i just needed it for the occasion that the skin covers all the top like i did here for my skiver. it just didn't turn out right and my stitching even pulled through sometimes.....thanks for the info

hello, i am looking for stainless steel d-rings in the 2-1/2" to 3" size....also rectangle loops in the same size...and roller buckles....im making some 3" wide dog collars and i can't find all the items from one place much less stainless steel.. thanks for the help

i am new to the leather world and i've got a technical question. when you hand stitch lizard-stingray etc..how do you do it?..i am having a problem with my hole not being perfect ie torn, oblong...and how are you doing the layout of your holes on top of the skin?...i pre drill my leather and then glue up the skin...i punch my hole from the back so it goes through the skin...it just doesn't work right any ideas or ways that i can try would be much appreciated....thanks

ive never used machine thread...i am only able to hand stitch....is the #69 thread close to the size of artificial sinew thread that you get from tandy?...i cant find a actual size on the #69 thread thanks for helping

i am in the search for neon green or toxic green thread for hand sewing a dog collar...i would like it to be as thick as sinew thread so that it's kinda thick....any help or idea's thanks for any help

no, it's just heat...i have a micro torch that i setup and hold the stainless in front of...the color ranges from blues-purples-black...and no it's not a film....i first used my kitchen stove...get a piece of stainless and heat it up...you will get the metal to a orangeish red state and then stop and cool it in water fast....it's pretty cool...you can do the same thing to titanium but the flame has to be much hotter...

i flame my stainless out and they turn a matte black...not for sure if thats the color but it doesn't come off....
