I can tell you just from what I marked mine up the ones at Saddleback are marked up a lot. I just went and checked and looked at the pouch for $129.00. It's 6" x 8" so roughly a sq ft and 1/2 of leather. And it has a strap and rivets, and a toggle close. I made mine out of chrome tanned and it's 18" x 13" and has chicago screws and a toggle close. It has embossed veg tanned on the inside for dividers and to add shape to the bag. It has a stamped strap on it to match the leaves I made and sewed on the front and back because the gusset didn't get 'caught' all the way through so I disguised that with a leaf, and sewed one on the other side to make it looked planned. Also my strap has a sliding foam filled shoulder protector from matching materials. I know I don't have $30.00 in the total bag but since they are a big project I sell mine starting at $125.00. They sell something that clips onto one of their bags like mine to stick your phone in for 129.00? You could use the finest leather available and hardware and not have $100.00 in one of their bags they sell for 500+. So it's really just up to you to decide if you want to put the work into it because this one http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?app=galleryℑ=17298 was my first and took almost two weeks to complete working on it some everyday. I learned as I went along and fortunately didn't mess up anything that couldn't be fixed. Cheryl

The painting you did on this is incredible, thought you had taken a class. I can't wait to see the finished holster. Cheryl

If I was doing it, I'd take a 1/4" off the side down as far as I wanted with the strap cutter, flip it around to the back to take it off the other side and use a utility knife and square to get the angle. Not sure how easy all that is Cheryl

Double U, I can't see any extra paint and think it's great. Cheryl

I think you did a great job on both Milton. I don't make my ends like that, the small end I mean but there's nothing wrong with the way you did it. Cheryl

Ian you could make stand up purses with this leather too if you buy the bag stiffeners or combine veg tanned with it on the outside if the shape of yokes or something similar. The possibilities are really endless. Plus with the colors you mentioned you could make some really cool messenger bags. Mine is chrome tanned and I just used veg tanned embossed leather on the inside as file folder holders or pockets for whatever I wanted to carry to give it more form although it's still 'squishy' because I wanted it to be. I recently made a cross body purse and an under the shirt money belt out of italian soft leather about the same oz. These are some of my pictures. If I can help please let me know.

Those are beautiful, Cheryl

Karma you're looking i think for billets and tongues but I'm not sure. With a hole punch and utility knife you could make your own if that's something you're interested in. People here could explain how. Cheryl

I've used mt 15-91 for almost 2 years until I got my Cobra. I've sewn guitar straps with it lining the 8-9oz, and numerous other things. I have one for sale actually, it will sew up to 1/4" because it has the potted motor instead of the belt. PM me if you're interested after you look around. Cheryl

Go for it Joe, you can do it. Be sure and post when you do. Cheryl

ROFLMAO Kevin, think he'd volunteer?

Lavendara google penguin or panda coloring book pages and you'll be able to find some free ones to use and a lot will be too simple for you but a lot of these pages are very nicely detailed. Here is one link to pandas http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=yhs-invalid&p=panda+coloring+pages I hope this helps. Cheryl

the ones I've seen are already finished off, all the edges bound. What more were you wanting to do to them? What do you do to your other interiors? Cheryl
