  1. why couldn't I have written that instead of the drivel I write.
  2. I got these a while back and there's three I haven't go the slightest clue about. Number 1, and 3.....this has a wicked looking kinda serrated edge but only on one side, not serrated but spaces in the edge. (Has anyone noticed round fat wooden things don't wanna stay put on a scanner, LOL) and the knife thingy I put 12 on. and the Myers wheely thing is too loose to use. I thought one of those tiny pins had come out but there's not a hole for a pin on the other side. That's the tool the key goes to. I adore the one awl with the different handle, I think I could actually use it to sew with and not stab myself. The hole punch was suppose to be for stitching, but the holes are way too big I think to use to sew. Maybe lacing. Anyway, any ideas on what they are, how to clean and any idea on fixing the Myers thing would be greatly appreciated. Cheryl
  3. Beautiful Bag. First thing I thought of was the Dead too, now I know why. Cheryl
  4. Thanks Radar. I'll do that the next time. Fortunately I didn't have any 'oooops' with the project. Cheryl
  5. Wow, big job ahead but I love your design. Cheryl
  6. Beautiful. I love the second one where you left part of it natural/ part black. Your basket weave is killer!!! Cheryl
  7. Suicide, I love it. What a unique idea and you executed it so well. Cheryl
  8. Have you ever been to my site? I added some of our conversation we had yesterday Thank you Suicide. I couldn't have done it without everyone's critique and help here. Cheryl
  9. Thank you Chancey! Cheryl
  10. Too tired to say much other than I love this and it's gonna be hard to send it to it's new home, LOL. Cheryl
  11. That's really pretty Kevin, and yes I will be wiping it off super quick. Cheryl
  12. Hi Suicide. I don't want to dye over my acrylic, the resist is just in case of an 'oooops.' LOL Just oooops protection, not to dye over anything, LOL.
  13. Hi Kevin. I've been preparing for a really important meeting tomorrow, well for me. So who stops everything about midnight and is out in the hall cutting leather for a combo check book cover bill fold using your instructions? So I wanted to try this to transfer the design, and got very confused. I ended up printing my picture on a shipping label and putting that directly on the leather to make the design from. Although last night wasn't the time for me to be doing all of this, I learned so much. Thanks, Cheryl
  14. I don't know a thing about these but that doesn't prevent me from telling your carving and sewing is exquisite, Cheryl
  15. Thanks Kevin, I'll put on another thin coat and put it up for a while. I'm going to going around the iris , with a lot of tan, brown and black so I really want it to resist. Plus I want this one to look good, no great. Cheryl
  16. I'm working on the eye I sold, and the owners horse was a buckskin with one blue eye. I'm doing the blue eye eye for her, and I painted it first, and now have put a coat of eco flo block out resist. How many coats does this take? it had no instructions on the side like most of their stuff does. And of course I want this one to be as perfect as possible.
  17. Hi Bob. I did that too, but someone posted to me here and said, PUT that swivel knife flat, if you want to cut at an angle get and angle knife, LOLOL. I'm putting up the picture we were talking about at the time because oddly enough, I had this on a wall hanging 20 or so years ago and like your friend, I've wanted it again but never could find it. I did a search and found this at a tattoo shop, the original picture I mean. So I hand drew this, carved it, but you can see how my 'sharp' turns are. When I have time I'm going to do it again, and again until I have another wall hanging that looks like the original. Cheryl
  18. I did a google search on this, and I swear they said to chew it and then they got to something about using the brains and I shut google, ew. BIG EW OMG, I snorted pop out through my nose...... I don't even care if you mean me, Cheryl
  19. My pleasure my friend.....and I may try that next because what it's doing makes no sense, and it is funny. Cheryl
  20. LOL Aaron, no I wanted it SOFTER, not veg tanned. OK, now get this. I wet it, dyed it, and braided three strands for my belt. I haven't had a chance to do the other three. The ones I braided are a HAIR less rough maybe. The three still hanging are still soft and pliable. Me and my great ideas, LOL
  21. This is it, worked it out last night somehow, LOL
  22. Bob that is beautiful. I'm going to look again and see how you carved your mouth areas. I have problems with that. I was told to lay my swivel knife flat and pull it toward me, and turn the leather, etc. But by the time I make the turn on the mouth areas I have knife marks to the chest. I am definitely doing something wrong. Cheryl
  23. Thank you Kevin. I have a design I really need to transfer and i tried using my laptop as a light box and put it on acrylic and tried cutting it out, on and on, and I haven't had a bit of luck with that. I could get one sheet of poster board and do fifty of them, LOL. Then I guess i could invest in another piece of poster board :-) Now all I have to do is make myself believe I can't hand draw them forever.
