  1. That's it... Heck you could use a nail:) some even have square heads:) you could make square dots....LMFAO
  2. NOW LETS TALK ABOUT DOTS:) I have this nail punch I use for lots of stuff...it is just a dot:) not a hole:)
  3. WOW bicycle seats are hard! Sweet work!
  4. Nope I used a Punch. Just a rod with a tapered Point. Seat took about 3-4 days. But maybe about 25-30 hrs????? I didn't keep track on this one. It had a set price. But only about 1/3 of that was tooling time.
  5. Thanks! Punched holes? DO you mean the dots around the face?
  6. I do quite a lot of road work to MC clubs for a weekend and bike and car events. I also carry this stuff when I am touring with the band to crank out some stuff at bars and venues in my down time between load in and load outs:) I have 2 Large Tool Boxes for Dyes/Oils and Tools with top separated storage bins for pens, pencils, and misc hardware bits, and metal Suitcase for a gravestone and main Letter/Number stamps and hammers. Then I have 2 Boxes of silver and brass snaps, rivets, buckles, and conchos. I like to keep my silver and brass separate in flat cases that have multi storage squares...although I did just buy one big enough to fit Silver and Brass:) Then I have a very old School Carpentry Workbench that is 4'x 1 /12' that brakes down by just taking the top part off it has a built in vice on the side. Then 2 Big Tupperware containers for leather and lights and extension chords.
  7. Post Titles of your work....it helps in google search.,..and will help you sell MORE of these!!!!!!
  8. THAT IS AN AWESOME BACKPACK!!!!!!!
  9. When you upload Photos to your gallery...MAKE SURE YOU ADD TITLES..I.E.-What is it?? And add a description. It not only helps keep your work looking professional, but also allows web search of such items...so you can sell those items when people are looking to buy such things! Also, it helps the search in LW.net for people looking for the same things. It helps YOU, helps US and helps your possible FUTURE CLIENTS! Take the TIME and Add a Title, and Description and a few tags!

Great advice! I have seen a few gallery pics in the past that had me scratching my head trying to figure out what it was. May be obvious to old timers but to newbies...not so much.

Ok ok I'll take pictures:) hahaha the arm cut out is the fun part...

  11. No he is a solo guy that lives on a road translated to middle street....it isn't an actual bike shop...He works at a metal fabricating facility and has made most all of the parts at work.
  12. I make 2-4 side pieces a top piece a bottom ....but thats just me:) Ya those studs gotta go:) DO IT!!!!! What's the worst thing that could happen????? You may have to try again...thats about it:)
  13. <Nice I like making these but no one here hardly ever asks for them. Fun projects!
  14. I really hate working with those stock seats...I have one here for 4 months now that needs to be done...I keep hoping it will finish itself...but NO...hahahaha
  15. Ya he made wooden grips:)
  16. Well I dropped off the seat last night and got my first actual viewing of the bike before it heads to the paint shop for some rootbeer flake and black and antique white paint...WOW This bike is awesome 100% handmade from the ground up! The guy has made 100% of all the metal and brass work himself! Very nice job and some cool parts!!! I am so stoked he thought of me to make the seat instead of making one from brass:) hahaha
  17. You're over thinking it...just dive into it:)
  18. Well my part of the bike is done hahaha
  19. I always make them different.. I just make a poster board template and stick it in my pocket... I I like it great if not I modify it.
  20. Ya they do make a nice kit but more for the guy who hasn't done leather work... Just get the pan... I have some and sell them if you want.
  21. Looking good so far!!! Get Er done !! Don't do it 3 times do it once
  22. Yes I did... Although watering down the brush will give the same effect. I just got the airbrush rig with a couple different guns so the only way I practice is by doing it in actual work:) more pressure to get it right and I like jumping into the fire:)
  23. Well here is all the dye work done.. Sick people in the house slowing this one down...arghh
  24. I think you should have a go at it! If you need some advise we are here for ya!
