  1. Your thread never gets old Dave!! You know I am a sucker for good work and maybe one day we will have a cold beer!
  2. Never thought of heavy duty clips like that!!! Awesome idea!! This is why I love this site so much!! The seat looks really cool.. Ya cylinder head is my guess they had really cool logos back in the day for sure! Today everything is borrowed or stolen:) if I see one more shirt that has stolen the west coast choppers logo I will puke! Hahshs
  3. Looks like some work! Nice job!
  4. Dude your work is always stunning!! I do exactly the same. I have the pattern pack for saddle bags but every bike I work on has its own challenges so I always have to make the patterns from scratch. Poster board or foam core. Very easy to mick up and tape together for a final look before you actually cut any leather. Cheers JJ!!
  5. Well I did add some 885 bckgrd around the edge and that phot was scanned from the printer so it shows in very bright light all the details:) Mike really did an amazing job and it was VERY DEEP! It made one heck of a challenge for my letter tags! Trying to draw and dye straight lines was very very nerve racking! I did not want to take away from anything Mike did.... Just give it the end result.
  6. DUDE!!!!!!! AWESOME! Why aren't these in the Motorcycle section? Great job as always JJ!
  7. Well, I sell just the pan; the welding for brackets is all up to you or the bike owner:) But This standard bolt system that I compared off of so many other solo seats out there all seem to be in the same ballpark within 1/2" of each other. I have put them on FXR and Super Glides and sportster ridged frames and Shovel frames...They would have to do some retro fitting for the front Slider bar depending on which model they want Either Custom Chrome parts or any other aftermarket brand...I just always use Custom Chrome because I can get them local and fast. The newer bikes have other issues like the Electronic Control Box and BAttery placement...but it just depends on teh bike..chances are if someone is looking to customize their bike they are prepared to do a little welding:) on teh back side for a plate for springs and a front Dog Ear attachment.... So long story short:) YES! jahahaha
  8. Yes it is the same I base coated silver, white gold, red then silver and white for the last coat:) so after heavy use in years to come the pick will dig thought the colors revealing layer by layer and add more and more depth and patina ...
  9. 45€ plus shipping for my pans:) Also there is standard measurements that fit any hard tail HD ever made:) also fits most Triumphs. So your Sportster frames and Triumph frames are all covered
  10. Thanks !! I was trying to give you a break:) normal solo pan and tool from just about anyone who makes seats is 800... The triple loop lace in a seat Like that takes 16 hr just for that part not including the 40 hours of tooling and assembling the solo seat... My seat pans cost 40€ just for the pan.. They are hand made and shaped and rolled. So you are looking at 4-5 days if work for a pro.. A novice could take 1-2 weeks depending in their skill level. I do this everyday so I know how long it takes me working 8-10 hours a day.. Maybe someone that is more hungry will cut you a deal here but for me 600 is a deal. You can always buy one of those crappy seats from La Rosa and recover it ... But tht is already 150 when there is in my book only 50 in materials so La Rosa is money wasted by a hobby leather crafter who doesn't do as many as I do where every material is the best from metal - leather- padding- lace... I understand having a budget ... So why don't you tell us what your budget is... I know some hungry guys:) just trying to help ya out however I can..
  11. Day 2 on the Middle Street project! Today I finish it!

    Cool!!!!!
  21. I have found that different brands make different thickness transfers the stuff I have been using is the cheapest made so it is extremely thin no thicker than paper and being clear I can see through it and line everything up exactly how I want it... But Saran Wrap and paper for you works great.. I have no problems with the smallest of details with a extremely fine tipped stylus. There are tons of manufactures making clear PVC sheets... I have bought some from the model shop before for people that make their own electric motor cars. But the office supply shop always stocks several thickness and budget projector sheets.
