  1. http://leatherworker...951 +ford +door That is a link to the first thread...it ended up in art section of other specialties.. But I am over that one:9 hahahaha I am all about NUMERO DEUX!
  2. And to answer the question I know is coming...yes that is the Ford Logo we made for the Drivers side and this is not part of the PAssenger side design...but I knew I needed to add a photo...so that is part of the drivers side from the 1st Door Panel thread:) For those of you new to the site..that is the First panel.
  3. Well......here we Go Part DEUX:) I got a plan and a fresh panel skin that is empty.... Next week or possibly this weekend I will start Carving the new panel. Hold on to your seat belts! This one is going to be FUN!!!!!

  6. There are many things I love in this world! Shotguns! Zombies! Mad Max! and being prepared for Zombies! hahahaa I love doing fun stuff! Sometimes AWESOME is just way better than Function yet it does what it was supposed to do...so it technically is Function!! and this is just AWESOME! Nice RIG!
  7. Thanks Ray! I have done my fair share of thrift store and estate sale find quick rehabs but this is my first desk:9 I do love a leather top desk! and after seeing this one with a terrible vinyl repair that didn't even go to the edges and dint have any repair work done I had to get down and dirty. I had lots of repair work to teh wood top to make it level and no gaps do to the shrinkage over the years but now it is smooth as silk. I had a lot of fun doing something different the last couple days on this! No tooling!!!!! AWESOME! hahaha
  8. Wow THANKS EVERYONE! I didn't expect much response to this thread:9 I guess folks like desks:)
  9. This is just a quick template with sizes I made...use your own ideas and discretion on how to close it and hang from the Floor tom...just a piece of lace in each corner will work. Good luck:)
  10. Just finished a VERY old Leather Desk Top replacement. That Was fun! Photos in Furniture for those intereasted in such things:) I found a real cool Italian leather Distressed shiny skin. Perfect combo for the age of the desk and overall color. Desk was told to be just over 100. But I don't know enough about desks to know:)

I see the leather top resembles the burled drawer fronts. Was that a plan? Looks great!

I am done. Nothing else needed to be done other than some light wood work and a new top:)

  11. At first I started with the nails through the tapes marks but then I realized after the first row I would just mark them with the awl and take off the tape...much easier than taking off teh tape after the first row of nails was lightly pushed through:) Like I said I don't do this work normally but I learned pretty fast what not to do:)
  12. I got a request from one of my regular clients to come look to see if I could do anything with his old desk he bought here in Finland. So here is what I came up with...Furniture is not my normal thing, but what the heck it was fun!
  13. Yep should have looked at my conversion chart! Hahaha oh well plenty of old ones on the bay for sale:)
  14. Just got a new M885 and it is not at all like my old one! It is almost twice as wide and impressions are 3xs the depth. Not a happy dude right now! I wanted the old one! In the picture the old M885 is on the left and its newer counterfeit part is on the right! Arghhhhh
  15. IT'S A THINGY MABOB! SORRY:9 I KNOW NOT ANY HELP....HAHAHAHAHA It does look multi functional...hmmm I am taking a photo of it...I got some people who will know:) If no one else kicks in.... It actually looks like part of the sole press on a machine my boot guy uses....hmmmmmm I'll see him tomorrow if no one else answers.

But you're working on it now :)

  17. BMX SEATS ARE HARD!!! THAT LOOKS SWEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!
  18. Yep , I don't use snow seal but I use basically the same thing. It works for a while. But the client has to be responsible and do it annually or even if they see that it is starting to retain moisture. It works good, I have tried everything through the years. The oils work the best I think, a good hardy thick as molasses leather oil seems to work the best. Then after 24 hours of soaking that in I hit it with the waxes. but still it starts to dry out and must be maintained. Don't ever sell a bag as waterproof it will only be resistant. I also tend to put in metal or fiber glass bottoms and backers in my bags to keep from sagging if possible. BUT THAT BAG LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD ROCK IT!!!!!!!
  19. That's it... Heck you could use a nail:) some even have square heads:) you could make square dots....LMFAO
  20. NOW LETS TALK ABOUT DOTS:) I have this nail punch I use for lots of stuff...it is just a dot:) not a hole:)
  21. WOW bicycle seats are hard! Sweet work!
  22. Nope I used a Punch. Just a rod with a tapered Point. Seat took about 3-4 days. But maybe about 25-30 hrs????? I didn't keep track on this one. It had a set price. But only about 1/3 of that was tooling time.
  23. Thanks! Punched holes? DO you mean the dots around the face?
  24. I do quite a lot of road work to MC clubs for a weekend and bike and car events. I also carry this stuff when I am touring with the band to crank out some stuff at bars and venues in my down time between load in and load outs:) I have 2 Large Tool Boxes for Dyes/Oils and Tools with top separated storage bins for pens, pencils, and misc hardware bits, and metal Suitcase for a gravestone and main Letter/Number stamps and hammers. Then I have 2 Boxes of silver and brass snaps, rivets, buckles, and conchos. I like to keep my silver and brass separate in flat cases that have multi storage squares...although I did just buy one big enough to fit Silver and Brass:) Then I have a very old School Carpentry Workbench that is 4'x 1 /12' that brakes down by just taking the top part off it has a built in vice on the side. Then 2 Big Tupperware containers for leather and lights and extension chords.
