Never got one...send me a PM on here. Hey all, Thanks much for all your comments. I'm going to try to put a pricelist up soon...my basic rule for stamps...if it's smooth its $20 and if it's lined or checkered it's $25. flower centers start at $35...hope that helps some of you. Thanks again, Elton

Call Sheridan Leather Outfitters. They look after Bob Douglas' tools (The owner is Bob's daughter)

Thank you all for the comments! Steve is my guinea pig for some of my tools so he gets to call the complaint department from time to time LOL. Ben, I hadn't slowed down at all on building tools to be honest. I've been shipping orders on a fairly regular basis...just thought that I'd drop another bug seeing as I'm pretty much caught up. Thanks again, Elton

Hello everyone!! Some of you are aware that I have been building tools for a while...These include stamping tools, mauls, edge slickers, bouncers...I have been making all of my tools "made to order". This works best for me for the time being. so if you don't mind a bit of a wait and are looking for quality stainless stamping tools or other leatherworking tools, feel free to send me a PM. Thanks, Elton I should also mention that my impression sheet hasn't been updated in a while, but as soon as I get some Christmas orders out of the way, I will be sure to get a new one posted...it will include, veiners, wigglers, mulesfeet, flower centers, seeders,baskets...

Latest Chaps
Elton Joorisity replied to Elton Joorisity's topic in Clothing, Jackets, Vests and Chaps
Thank you very much Gary!! Funny part to that story...Kerry's bronc saddle may not be coming home with him, one of the boys down there really wants to buy it (or a new one). I told Kerry he's better off to sell the one he has and I'd build him a new one rather than ship one over there from Canada. Thank you again for your kind words and for recognizing my work so far from home!! -
They were all old McMillen's and mostly geometrics at that

Have you checked with Bruce Johnson? If Bruce doesn't have one, call Vandy Douglas at Sheridan Leather as she looks after the tools that her father Bob Douglas has for sale.

Am I Being Too Picky/particular?
Elton Joorisity replied to Spinner's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
Umm just a little note, that would be Vandy at SLO. There are only 3 to 4 employees there, Vandy, Luke, Emily, Steve (thursdays and saturdays) and sometimes Matt I have dealt with them since before they bought out the outfit from Stevenson Paxton and I have never had a problem other than a color shade issue on some chrome tan which was neither of our faults. I hope you are happy with either choice. -
Hey Mark I have one very similar...I'd be more than willing to help you get it in tip top shape the next time you come visit!

My Second Set Of Holsters
Elton Joorisity replied to Elton Joorisity's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Hey thanks Mark...you bet you can take a look at both sets when you come down. I would not put a sight brake in them...I mold them pretty snug and we can put a Ruger Vaquero in each holster, hang them upside down and shake the snot out of them and it takes a lot of shaking to get them to come out. That being said...with them being molded the way they are, they are still easy enough to draw in a hurry...Kelsey pulled checks in all three stages at her last shoot with them...so I know that they are doing the job. And, yes they are both cut at the same angle. I offer 4 different angles to suit each customer's taste and preference. Hope that helped -
My Second Set Of Holsters
Elton Joorisity replied to Elton Joorisity's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Bob...as long as I'm 20 plus feet away I'll be safe LOL...otherwise I think I could handle the blackpowder burns if I deserved it -
My Second Set Of Holsters
Elton Joorisity replied to Elton Joorisity's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks guys! Yeah there's a shoot here in town on sunday...I'll be there with my tape measure in hand for at least two orders! Hoping to have a couple saddle trees to show too...it oughta be a good weekend. -
Terry, I do a lot of filigree on my floral carved chap tops. I mainly use sharpened veiner stamping tools in various lengths and degrees of curvature...I also use rond punches in the scallops of leaves and flowers. About the only place I use a scalpel or x acto is in a tight corner...Just my method and as I was told before...as long as it works for you it's probably the right way.

I would have to vote for F.O. Baird's Leather Secrets...It's a huge book full of patterns, tips, pics...they are however hard to come by.

Machine For Rivets And Burrs
Elton Joorisity replied to 1894leverguy's topic in Hardware and Accessories
You can also use tube rivets with caps. I have never used the caps but know several folks that have used them successfully. -

Elton Joorisity replied to cem's topic in Leather Tools
Yes the Versa Groover can be used left handed. It is probably your best bet. Call up Luke and Vandy at Sheridan Leather and they can set you up. 307 674 6679 -

Elsa, in my opinion Bob Douglas' stirrup stretcher is a better stretcher. I also believe Sheridan Leather sells the buckles you are looking for. As far as the hand tools, check Hidecrafter as they used to handle some of them.
