I am hoping to get maybe 6 or 10 prong as well as 2 prong. Don't know what size to get.. I mainly do wallets, belts and folios. And I know everyone says its all preference, but I don't know what my preference is if I have not seen the difference between a 7spi and a 10spi in person... -

Hi all, I have been looking for some Vergez Blanchard irons, and prices range from like $200-500 an iron! I am in US, and was wondering what should I expect to pay for a #9 or #10 irons? Thanks!

Looks awesome! Do you have any guide on making this? tutorial or wiring schematics? Results are awesome! Can you show how the bottom plate looks like? Do you insert a dye in place, or is it all once piece?

It is 5 layers on the bottom, skived down to 4 on the side. I used dremmel after glue up. Then I used diamond Awl while stitching.

Duane, it looks bigger on pictures than in real life The sheath if for my brother, he makes knives and so everything he has is razor sharp, I wanted to make sure the sheath would protect him lol. (He shaves with that axe)

Just finished another sheath this week for a small axe. I dyed the face and left the edge in natural oiled color. Hand stitched, and waxed with beeswax/neatsfoot mix Comments/critique is really appreciated.

Bruce, got that Chase from you. Works perfect on all the leather I have. Splits my chrome tan piece just perfect. I am having my brother make a second blade for it out of surgical steel so I can have sharp edge all the time -

MonicaJacobson, the process for the edge of the punch case if pretty simple. You simply stitch the liner (face down) to the face of the leather, then apply contact cement on both ends, flip the lining carefully while stretching the edge line. See pictures below for reference.

Thanks nrk, its very simple and Ive been liking it a lot. I have been using it since I've made it and its great. Love the money clip. Its finally useful and not its not adding bulk to the wallet. I used a scrap chrome tan leather that is around 3-4oz that I picked up at a local leather shop. The owner didn't know what it was exactly.

Thanks camano ridge and Tip for the support! I will definitely apply all criticism in my next project. Im learning as I go, and having real fun with it! I only have a few belts and other small projects behind me, so this was my first large project. Before stitching a belt I need to make a pony, because right now its just my knees and that hurts after a while
