  1. @ Buck - Thanks!! My dad was proud to get it. Now, all his buddies want one!!! @ Sniper - Yea, my sister doesn't like me making things for our parents for birthdays... She always says "its not fair... I had to buy my gift". It feels good to have people ooooh and awwww over something you created.
  2. I don't think there is a person that wouldn't be happy with that holster. I haven't tried the toe plug yet even though I've had a holster ready to cut out for months now. Hope mine turns out half as good as yours...
  3. Those are great looking pieces. I bet the person was excited to get them!!
  4. Chief, beautiful work as always!
  5. Thanks Dwarf!! That's encouraging!!
  6. @Thor - I have been second guessing the decision to use the textured one ever since I finished it. Thanks for the feedback!! @smirak - Maybe you'll change your mind about not being a Hogs fan once the season heats up, LOL... #WPS
  7. I like it, too... I actually have an order for this very belt. What is your spacing from hole to hole?
  8. Made this for my dad's birthday Thursday. It's my first one... I like it but wished my skills were better...
  9. Your basketweave is awesome!!!
  10. Great gauntlets! I've been kicking around the idea of ones from Batman Begins. I've downloaded several stills of them for reference but have never started them. This has inspired me to get after it! Thanks for sharing!!
  11. Beautiful work on both the knife and the sheath... Stingray truly is rewarding to work with....
  12. Wow!! That's awesome!!
  13. I recently purchased a bottle of Fiebing's spirit-based dye in the color Turquoise. I made a bracelet for my wife this afternoon and wanted to use the new color. I was very disappointed to find the color was more of a bright blue than turquoise. I spray my dyes and had to do 2-3 coats to get coverage. The shade looked good as I was spraying then dried TOTALLY different. What can I do to achieve a more traditional turquiose (greenish-blue) rather than a blue-blue? Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Just a beautiful piece of art! So clean...
  15. I know what you mean about the deeper penetrating dye. I recently made the switch from water-based dyes to spirit-based. And, from brushing dye to spraying it. So far, I'm loving how the spirit dyes are covering and how richer the colors look.
  16. Very nice! I just got to learn that braid!!
