Mike, not a whole lot of tools used on this, an assortment of Barry King Bevelers, a Barry King Border stamp and a Hidecrafter Pebbler Thanks Storm, I usually dye the leathers before assembly, just waiting for a decision to be made on this one Im leaning with you Max, customer seems to want to have some colors added. still waiting for decision I agree on the no dye, I prefer a sheridan type finish on something this heavily tooled, but customer is siding with you, he's wanting red and black in there. Still waiting

This weekends project, Ive never tried anything with welting and having found a source for leather welting I bought some and decided to give it a try, stingray inlay in shrunken bull shoulder, welting and inlay are all handstitched

Thanks Troy, not sure I could duplicate it though, the color that is, the strips I intentionaly did different, just did a few then dumped in some different color, did a few more, mixed in something else, a few more and so on. The rest of the seat I started with some angelus spice, weasnt happy with the way it looked with the strips so went over it with Fiebings medium brown, still didnt like it so misted some fiebings dark over that. But I tell ya what, this leather is Zack Whites Premium Bull Shoulder and both times Ive used it Ive been super impressed with the way it dyes, it makes whatever color Im using look different then it ever has

First time Ive ever worked with the English Bridle Leather, real nice stuff.

Wanted to post these pics of a seat I knocked out over the weekend. Got a bunch of leftover English Bridle Leather strips from Christian at Xian Leather and Ive been on a recycling kick lately, just cant get myself to throw any leather out lately. Still got a bunch so Im gonna do a black one this weekend.
