Great work! -
Thanks Tboyce!!!
-
Ditto! Thanks gift givers!
-
Joe, what I do is save the file and email it to a UPS business solutions place and tell them "42X30".
-
Sweet, thanks Tboyce!!!
-
Yay!!! Can't wait to try it!

25b, I think, if not mistaken, that in a sense, the definition of chromexcel is that is it is chrome tanned rather than veg tanned. The added chemicals make it supple, etc. so that its characteristics make it difficult to mold as veg tanned can be.

nrk, yes, I found they have Russet Horsehide veg tan. Tannery Row and Maverick Leather have options.

Over the weekend. Sunglass case made of Horween Horsehide and a mini messenger.

Electrathon, worked perfect. Thanks for the advice! High five.
-
Thanks Electrathon. I will see if I have that piece for the Dremel.

I bought an awl blade that is long, can I cut or snip an inch off the end? Or will this harm the needle? It is a wonderful needle, sharp and polished but long.

Sweet. Another Christmas gift for family! I will be making this one out of Horween Russet Horsehide!!! Thanks Tboyce. By the way, I have been posting in other places about your generosity; I am very grateful!

Sure thing. Here it is in veg tan.

Super duper! Thanks for sharing all these Tboyce!

Thanks for sharing!

No joke, thanks! It is great! I used an earlier pattern of tboyce's and printed it on 11X17 and it made a mini-version of the messenger bag. It is now a small clutch. I added some d-rings, removable strap, and a belt strap on back. Now it can be worn on the belt or carried by the strap. I look forward to trying this bag for my children.

I have used Maverick for a couple of pieces. I have found they have great customer service and are very honest about the flaws a piece may have. I bought one piece from their closeouts which was exactly as described on the phone, a piece in the middle was very damaged but the price reflected that. I bought Horween Austin and it was very good. I just received some strips and they look to be great as well. I have even bought two double shoulders veg tan that they sell (not Horween) and they are nice too. My advice is call them, ask plenty of questions if you have them, and you can even make recommendations. For example, I needed 50 in. in length for strap so I asked about two pieces of leather, and they led me through the options and even searched for a piece that was the right length and less flaws. Best of luck!

Thanks again Chief, I will think about what you wrote.

Good morning y'awl. I was wondering if Horween carries a leather that can be wet formed or moulded to make small possibles pouches or bags? Thanks.
