  1. Hi All, I just learned that Mr. Linnel will be at the Baltimore Tandy Leather Store February 14th for demonstration . They are having an Anniversary sale and he is their special guest. I don't work for Tandy and have no affiliation, so this is not an ad. I just wanted anyone who has not met him and can make it to know he will be there. I have met him before several times and have seen his work. He is amazing to watch! Go if you can, he is the best Show in town! kimber
  2. Talk about give them what they want? Ok, so no matter if you like it r not , you give them what they want, right??? So, i did. It is a strange new purple( which is popular in Baltimore due to Raven's fanms) and the edges are blackened and the beveling is highlighted with a metallic purple acrylic. The stitching is the new Tandy pink waxed thread. The matching purse grosses me out to much to attatch the photo. She raved over it. I suppose since i never have to see it again, that is what's really important. LOL. Merry Christmas All! kimber
  3. That is way to nice to have a butt sitting on it. Sharp and the colors op! Love the purple!

  8. Thanks Hellcat, The mold is from a styrofoam maniquin head. Shotgunwilllie found it for me , Cut it in half and mounted it to a piece of plywood. It is perfect for mask making. i will warn you tho, as Roo said , masks are addictive! happy molding, kimber

    New Masks

Hi All, i am attending a Masked Party this month and decided to make my own. Well, i had so much fun doing it , i went off on a tangent. The "captured my heart is the one i made for the party. What do you think of them? Hoping to get as good as Roo someday. LOL, ok , i said HOPING! We all need a goal! Take care , kimber
  14. Thanks Roo. i absolutley love this little bag. i am going away for a long weekend in September and plan on taking this gem with me.It is just so fun! We all need some fun in our lives.
  15. I finished the Large bag this weekend. I had it all completed prior and laced all weekend, except for Friday night when I created that little girly bag with Bunny Fur. As for the pliers I did use those as well on the tough spots , but these fingers are still pretty tender. Thanks for the compliments
  16. The second , n ot as much fun . It is a version of my largest bag . Lined and tooled to customer's order, Laced all 72 inches of it and blisters to show for it. I added a cell phone holder and a clip with a key chain for convienence. This bag is a great seller , but my toughest to do. kimber
  17. Hi All, It has been a long tough summer. I have had very little time to create, but this past weekend had a burst of creativity. The first is a small bucket bag with zebra bunny trim. Very girly and fun. kimber
  18. Hi All, i am kimberangel. My grandmom called me kimber and my favorite aunt called me angel. therefor i am kimberangel. Although i have been told that sometimes i can be a devil. My friends call me kimber except for that special someone who calls me sweetpea. i love leather and like to learn as many different skills as i can. i would love to learn how to braid. At this time i have worked on many purses and refuse to mke the same one twice. Ok, so i will never get rich but they will always be unique. i make some fun toys as well.

    Beak question

I know you said you did not want to glue, But what about using barge cement and a few well placed stitches? I would barge the entire beak with a stitched placed on either side of the beak for safe measure. That wat the beak stays in place and the comestic look of it remains in tact. It is amazing by the way. You did a fantastic job!
  20. Tandy also has a great product called block out. Before using the dye, I use the block out over anything I do not want colored. I then use a small piant brush to dye anywhere near that area. The paint brush gives me better control of the dyed area and keeps the dyes away from the blocked area. Now i will tell you any oil based dye or the USMC black will cover any and every thing, but the block out and paint brush technique works well.
  21. This was a first for me. Using a laminated hide. The handle was one I saw on a Dooney and Burke purse and I used that for the idea. I just wanted it ti be different. I like plain and to have the handle in the pattern as well would have been a bit much for me. I did not line it , but I will line the next one. Maybe with a lightweight pigskin suede. Thanks for the input guys. You are all great!
  22. This is the first bag that i have hand sewn completly (no lacing), used a lamnated side and also used bag stiffener for the first time. i am very pleased with the results. What do you guys think?
  23. Thanks Clay , but William is way to generous ingiving me so much credit. All i did on my case was the tooling , dye and paint. The cutting and stitching is all His work. He is a very generous leather mate. i will admit it was so much fun working on this project with Him. He is very creative and gung ho in His commitment to a project. Thanks William, i love the case!
  24. I have had the pleasure of watching Mr. Linnell at work. He is a true genius and it was my pleasure to be in his presence not once but twice. Lucky you , I know you enjoyed yourself and learned much.
  25. I agree Tom, I love the joker design as well. We shall see.
