  1. Does anyone know of a source of the kilt belt buckle loop? I'm not sure of the actual name, but it is the metal loop that looks like a modified dee ring and used to connect the billet end of the belt to the buckle.
  2. Actually after playing with it some, I have it figured out pretty much.
  3. I just purchased a leather imprinting machine. It has a rectangular guide and the ramsfoot and initial punch. Does anyone have instructions or can tell me how to set up the guide? It doesn't have anything to clamp to, or do I need to use small C-clamps? Help! I ain't got a clue.

Looks like you plucked it from a bird.
  5. Thanks for sharing. You're inspiring me to give this a try. Now, just to find my red-neck milling machine.
  6. It looks very much like one of the Tandy Southwest border stamps.
  7. Johanna, I'd much prefer to handle these kinds of behaviour with a tree and a rope, but that's just me.

+1 That is some FINE looking work.
  9. Not a problem, I understand about being too busy. There are some plans in the back pages of the Tandy book "The Art of Handsewing Leather" as well as the links already provided. Good luck with this and thanks for the laugh.
  10. Doesn't look like a stitching hore to me, but some good photos.
  11. Brent, Like most everyone else, you are your own worst critic. The lacing looks fine and with some practice; it will get easier. Keep up the good work.
  12. broncobuster is correct. It is an old Tandy kit. It was in some tools and materials I purchased from a guy who quit doing leatherwork. I'll go back and dress the edges on the strap and yokes to finish it out. Thanks for the kind words.
  13. This was fun to make and and I think turned out fairly well. Suggestions and comments are welcome.
  14. Where can I find informatin on two color lacing? It looks good and like something I would like to explore.
  15. It's just a character mark. That "high-level" math gets me from time to time as well. Your works looks good.
  16. This is the latest holster I've made. This one for a 3½" N-frame S&W.
  17. Nice work indeed. As one who hunts and carries a handgun a good bit, I'll second the suggestion of adding a retaining strap.
