  1. Those are just amazing! I can't even begin to imagine the patience you must have to work in such tiny detail. Very nice work. Crystal
  2. Great job, Darryl! The celtic design is really nice. My first lacing came out half decent entirely by accident - I accidently picked the right spacer. Keep up the good work! Crystal
  3. My Father-in-law's first name is: Richard. Worked with a guy who's friend's last name was Lear. They actually named their baby girl: Krystle Chanda Lear. WHY DO PARENTS DO THIS TO THEIR CHILDREN???
  4. Well- Crystal is it. Friends and family call me Crys (Chris). I was going to use my nickname but was concerned everyone would wonder why I was calling myself Crys (Cries). I married into my last name - Dick. Yeah, that is some combo - took me a while to actually make the change from my maiden name.
  5. Love it! What stamp do you use for your rope? Crystal
  6. Thanks for doing the video. Really helped me get a bit of a handle on some of the instructions on braiding that I have read. Crystal
  7. Beautiful! Great Job. Crystal
  8. Very nice, Cindy! Crystal
  9. Wow. Very nice job. Great mountains and love the trees. I'd say your first design is a success. 36"x19" That is a commitment! Can't wait to see the rest of the panels! Have you decided on how you are going to color it? Crystal
  10. Another nice one! Really good idea putting in the elastic. Crystal
  11. I like the closure - neat idea. Also like that you lined it. Another great job! Crystal
  12. Just gotta say - I am really liking these. Really good job! Crystal

    Smelly masks

I am not sure about that - haven't tried any.
  14. Thanks, Darryl! Pens and pencils fit - stamping tools will fit - all kinds of other things to put in it. Grow and paint my own nails - no manicures for this girl I won't touch dye without gloves. Biggest problem is nail marks in cased leather. Crystal
  15. Thanks, Fishguy. I was just trying out construction ideas for this one. I saw that 3 cigar pattern in a LC&SJ issue. I have tried it twice - kind of. 1st time, stitched too far in and couldn't get 3 dowels in. 2nd time cut out the cover pieces and traced on my pattern - UPSIDE DOWN of course. Said some bad words - went back to it next evening and traced my pattern on the other cover piece and it was on UPSIDE DOWN. At least I have matching pieces now and patterns that say - TOP and BOTTOM. Crystal

Hi Tom- In the Tandy catalog I have it is listed as Eco-Flo Super Shene item no.s 2610-01(4oz), 2610-03(Quart), and 2610-04(Gallon). It says that the Super Shene is high gloss and the Satin Shene is a satin finish. Crystal

    My latest

Very nice - My favorite subject. You gave me the tip on burnishing a while back and I thought I had done it right... well, no I didn't do it right. I really like how much shading you were able to get, the markings really stand out. Too Cool. Did you seal it, and if so what did you use? Have you done any others like this? If the leather darkens, does the shading darken proportionatlely? Crystal
  18. Thanks Dave! (One vote: not too girlie)
  19. Another cool one! How long does the lacing take to do? Crystal
  20. Jeez, Dave. You work faster than most people can think or type! Great job, as usual. I always enjoy seeing your seats. Love the dying and envy the lacing. Crystal
  21. Thanks for giving me the idea, Spider. Would have never thunk it without seeing yours. As far as I know we don't have any cigar lounges anywhere near. Nice idea, though. I will have to see if this one holds up with some use. Just because it is together, doesn't mean that it will STAY together. There are a few things that I think I would change for next time. I think the cap could be better. That was kind of an afterthought. Original thought was to use a wine cork, but didn't have enough length inside to fit the cork and the cigar. Thanks again!Crystal Thanks for the comments, Storm. I hope someone else does this, I am sure there is probably an easier way. As long as this took for me to do, I think I could grow the tobacco and roll a few in less time than it took me to get this done. Thanks!Crystal
  22. Thanks, Singteck. The cap is like a stopper.I thought about lining it with the paper thin cedar that comes in some cigar boxes, but wasn't sure if I could wet mold it to get the shape. Then wasn't sure how to glue it in. So there is no lining. The cap is 2 pieces. I skived the bottom half to less than 1/2 the leather thickness and for the top I grooved an inside channel to insert the circle piece.Hope this answers some questions. I have no idea what smells, etc might transfer. I did not seal the inside with anything, nor the outside, yet. Crystal Thanks, Leatherroo. First time using any color. Yellow and blue really does make green! Crystal
  23. I like the pointed ends on yours - somehow when I traced mine, I rounded them out. And you did get yours done first - I was no where near done on the 1st of June. Great job! Crystal
