Oil dye will run or fade as you say but more offten then not it rubs off when it gets wet , I also use oil dye and I love it but you can have rub off if you can't take the chance of it rubbing off use vinagroon. Josh

Beeswax can be used but it needs heat to meld with the edge. I made a wax mix and it has worked well I added some parafin wax to mostly beeswax heated them up and mixed them together and cooled it, cut it in to blocks I use it a lot Josh
