  1. After I apply the sealer ( acrylic resoline ) it still has the blueish tint to it. I'm lost on how to use this stuff. At least with the Angelus black dye the blueish tint disappeared when I applied the finish and it produced the most beautiful shade of black. I bought the eco-flow on a whim just to see if I would like it but so far the vote goes to Angelus as far as I'm concerned. Thanks, Rhome
  2. Ok, I admit I'm having a problem with the Eco-Flow black dye. I've been usuing both my nomal dip the leather in the dye method and am now trying an air brush to apply the dye. The problem i'm having is when I dye the leather it has a very noticeable blue tint to it. How in the world do you get this stuff the nice deep black that I got with the oil dyes and the Angelus dyes ? Thank You, Rhome
  3. Thank You Bruce, I really enjoy your holsters, you do some awsome work !!!!
  4. Since I did these holsters in vinegaroon I do them all in it, works for me.
  5. Nice looking holster and I agree about the color, I may have to try out that color. Another suggestion if you don't mind. Try and bring the stitch line in a little closer to the trigger guard. This will aid in retention when the leather stretches a little. And other than what Shorts suggested it all looks great. Best, Rhome
  6. Very, very nice work Shorts ! I like the way you placed the rear belt loop also. You have a nice design there, keep up the good work. I also like the color. Best, Rhome
  7. Beautiful work !! how did you hide the stitches on the top portion of the sheath, I like that and am curious. Best, Rhome
  8. Hey Kevin, as usual, outstanding work ! Love that holster design, always have, but that knife case is beautiful. Best, Rhome
  9. Very, very nice holsters. and I like your choices in firearms also !
  10. Hi Shorts, The short answer to your question is " No ", I have not worn another makers holster. I started making western holsters and converted over to Concealed Carry holsters after a while. I have had the privledge of being tutored by some of the best holster makers in this country IMHO, names such as Gary Brommeland, Kevin at K&D leather, Mark Garrity, and of course Lou Alessi. Their knowledge in holster making is beyond belief IMHO. Best, Rhome
  11. Hi, To be honest with you, I'm not sure. In any case I cement and stitch it to a piece of veg. tanned, and I make sure it never rests on the firearm itself.
  12. Tom, nice job on the holster, looks real good !! You should be very proud. Best, Rhome

  14. Hi and thanks, Bruce the cant is 20 deg. And Arts, shark is rather simple to work with, about the only part that gives me problems is when I'm doing the edges, you need to start with a very sharp edger. Other than that it's the cost. But thank you for your comments. Best, Rhome
  15. Hi everyone, I haven't posted in awhile as I've been busy making holsters for the new web site. I thought I'd share some of the latest one's I made for some of the guy's down at my favorite gun store. They all carry Glock's so I made them each one but each one is a little different, comments are always welcome ( good or bad ). Thanks for looking !
  16. Thanks everyone, Well I recieved a nice surprise today. My friend and I went to a gun store in Fresno CA today and was greeted with a warm welcome back from everyone that works there. I was also introduced to a couple of custumers and ended up selling 4 holsters, and to top that off, the manager offered me a wall in the store to hang my holsters for sale. I feel so blessed to have many good friends. I have a feeling that I'll be busy for awhile, and Shorts, I wish nothing but sucsess on your return Stateside. I'm positive you'll do great things and be very busy. Best, Rhome

I can tell you that after a year and a half it sure feels good to beable to play with leather again. Please excuse the poor quality of the Picture as I still haven't unpacked my photo equip. yet so I took the pic with my daughters camera. Thanks for looking.......
