  11. Jeremiah, I have done about 10 gun shows and they can be good places to sell. You need to have alot of business cards, a sample of stamps or border patterns you can customize items with, alot of belts striped out, key fobs cut out, and cell phone cases cut out. I know you are going to a gun show but I will be willing to bet you will stay busy making belts and cell phone holders if you plan to do it on the spot like I do. I would have a good display of several items like a cartridge belt if you have time that always brings alot of attention. I would have holsters for the following guns: pocket holsters for the keltec .380, / Ruger LCP, Some IWB for Glocks, a few 1911's, a few small frame revolvers, a few pocket holsters for the small .22's, a few western styles for 6" revolvers. You need to have a few of the items you plan to sell cut out and ready for stain and tooling, being able to make items in front of the customer really generates a crowd and equals more sells. I would also find me a nice looking lady to go with me and watch the table when you're busy hahahahah! ..but it works. Find a rebel flag stamp you will need it and stamp your initials on a few of the holsters for display. You will take alot of orders so have you an order form with all the needed information on it ready for them to fill out.

  16. I own both machines. I bought the first Cobra 3 shipped right when Steve started last year; I have been well pleased with the machine and customer service. I bought a used Tippman Boss at a steal manly for a back up and show machine and it's pretty good but it really made me feel good that I spent the little extra for an automatic machine. For the cost I would without a doubt get a Cobra.
  17. I found some used steel rule dies and I was wondering if anyone knew what the going rate per inch on this type is. I know that Texas Dies rate is $1.90 an inch but I think they are solid steel dies which are of better quality. These dies are mounted on wood so I know they are old (apx. 30 yrs) but some have barely been used. Some have steel marker pegs to point out holes to be punched. Any information would be helpful.
  18. I am thinking about getting a hole punching machine. I saw an old machine that was operated by a foot pedal that when pressed it would activate an arm that would come down on the leather and punch a hole out. I was wondering if anyone knows whether one could make a similar machine that would operate on air, some type of air cylinder that would have a foot pedal to operate it. Any information on how to make one or a machine that is out there would be helpful.
  19. I will second your comments. I bought Steve's first machine shipped and I have not regretted it yet. I just bought a used boss for a steal for a show machine but I am very glad I went with an automatic machine and especially the Cobra.

  22. Just wondering what kinda of advertising you do if any or is it all word of mouth. If you do advertise about how much do you spend on that.
