  1. What would you use to seal latigo leather or is there a need for a sealer? It seems very dull ...
  2. I have a Cobra Class 3 and it has been great. I knew absolutely nothing about sewing machines before I got the first one sold. Needless to say with Steve’s customer service and patience with a beginner I am glad to say I feel pretty confident with using it now. Here is the link if you want to check the Cobra’s out http://www.leathermachineco.com/ .
  3. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/search/...p;kw=wolf+track here is the wolf track which looks somewhat like a bear claw. Hope I helped
  4. Try Zach White Leather Company http://www.eleatherworks.com/
  5. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about buckstitching wheels. In the Al Stohlman's book on tools page 70 it mentions them but says they haven't been manufactured just handmade. Does anyone know where I can get one or know someone who makes them.
  6. I am looking to buy lots of leather working tools. I am mostly intrested in tools and stamps. I can pay with paypal or however the seller would like.

  8. Are you looking for embossed blets?
  9. Does anyone have patterns, idea's, or a picture of some type of leather working cart that is mobile. Any idea's on how to place hand tools, stamps (3D & Carving), stains, and other tools and supplies on to a mobile cart is welcome. Pictures of your work bench and how you may have your items setup would be helpful. If you have a pattern for a work bench or table please send it also. You can send files to rob@rmbblades.com.
  10. I am repairing a set of saddle bags for a motorcycle and I replaced the skin on the side with some Python skin. The skin appeared older and was very dry so I treated it with Fiebings's 100% neatsfoot oil to seal it for outdoor use. As you can see by my picture below it made the skin really dark compared to the dry skin which I not to happy with. My question is will the skin lighten back up as time goes on or is there somthing I can do to lighten it back up faster?
  11. I was in your shoes a few months ago and after all my research of the Boss verses all the electric machines out there hands down it became clear I needed to get an electric one. Most of the china made electric ones are basically the same because they are made in the same two factories in china so you’re really shopping for customer service. I went with a new company called http://www.leathermachineco.com/index.htm and the reason was the good reputation of the owner as far as customer service. I haven’t regretted going with Steve yet because if I need something he gets it done as fast as possible. The only advantage to the Boss is its size because if you plan on going to shows where electricity is an issue then it can be useful and for that reason I have pondered getting one anyway as a second machine. Here is Steve’s number 1-866-962-9880 give him a call and at least check him out!
  12. Zach White Leather Company http://www.eleatherworks.com/ I have compared wholesale prices and they bet tandy's but not sure about retail.
  13. Here is some intructions posted by joann http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?s...Applique+Lacing a few years ago so I think this will do, thanks alot! for ID'ing the style for me.
  14. I googled that style of leather and I think you are right. Do you have any intructions on it with pictures?
  15. See pictures of front of this lacing. Anyone who has files that you would like to send can send them to the email address below. Thanks! See the next two posting to see the rear and side of the lacing.
  16. I agree. I had the very same questions and honestly I am not sure if I posted it in the correct section but what should that matter right. I have had some very ridiculous comments on other forms which were a VERY BIG TURN OFF to the forum and one I finally asked that my account be deleted. This forum has been great and we need not criticize each other for little things just answer posts no matters were they were posted. A good suggestion to overly sensitive posters is to try the new post link at the top of the homepage and just read and comment on the posts not paying so much attention to what section they came from.
  17. I went with a plastic zip lock type retail hanger bag and I will print out an adhesive label to put on it. $36 for 1000 bags including shipping this was the best deal I found. Hope this helps everyone!
