Hi, I think you are being too hard on yourself. It looks great to me, I wish I could do as good. btw what are you painting it with? T -
My friend showed me a cartridge belt he has had for 25 years. Wears in all weather's outside his coat. Lays down to shoot. The stitches are perfect. No grooves.

Hi All, I have been leatherworking for about a year now, and decided to treat myself to some English Bridle Butt to make a couple of belts. I probably bought this too soon in my journey considering the cost but hey ho. My question is about the tallow on the surface. It seems very suborn to polish off. Should I heat it a little with a hair dryer ? Also I usually use carnauba cream on other items I have made, should I apply this to bridle? Any other tips concerning bridle would also be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Terry

Hello from Britain, I have been making a few things with chrome tanned leather given to me by my upholsterer brother in law. Today I have bought some 1.2mm natural veg tan shoulder which I want to make a wallet with. Finishing the edges is confusing me, gum trag and burnish ok, but why use edge kote instead of the dye I used on the surface? Thank you in advance . T

Hi , I'm thinking of taking up leatherwork as a new hobby. I'm in engineering and am hoping some skills are transferable, patterns, marking out, hand tools , cutting etc. I want to begin by making a stitched belt. I've seen on you tube about groovers and creasing tools. can I use a creasing tool to sit the stitching in as opposed to a grooving tool? The reason I ask is that ,I could bye only one tool, the creaser wouldn't remove leather to see the colour underneath. This may well be a stupid question but I look forward to some replies. Thanks Tpc
