  1. Lol yes I’ve found that the problem more times than not is the human! That was very helpful. The binder will be here by Wednesday. So I’m going to try it out and hope it works for me. I rather waste 20 dollars to see if I can save 334 lol!
  2. That looks great! Looking forward to the video.
  3. Could you send a pic of how you modified the bracket? I need to buy the one you sent me a link to and see if it works. If I can get it on right I don’t see why it wouldn’t. My tape is skived chrome tanned and I will also use thin vachetta soon.
  4. Exactly. That’s why I’m confused as to why my custom one is getting quoted so high. I’m going to try to get mine to work again when my bracket set arrives(I’m missing the long bolts and piece to wind the tape through). Or I will try buying another affordable binder before going for the custom one.
  5. That would help me for sure. Yes that is a lot of money! I could be leather instead right! The binder I have now looks like that. I used it on my regular cylinder arm but as I sewed the top of the tape would gradually move to the right and more tape was on the bottom. Here are some pics of the one I have. Now that I’m looking...looks like the problem could have been how the bracket my binder is on isn’t fitting right on my machine.
  6. The cheap binder I have allows the material to feed through pretty easily. Originally they said 434 but I did some willing and dealing and got them down to 335. I haven’t sent my material in again yet. I’m trying to find an alternative lol. Someone out there has to have a used custom binder lying around for me to snatch up lol.
  7. No actually I haven’t. The number I called in Florida said they are no longer a distributor. They did give me a number for north or South Carolina..but the guy never called me back. I will try the place you mentioned. Thank you.
  8. My machine also has parts from both of these other models.
  9. Ok. Does that mean a pfaff 335 binder will not fit on this machine? I’m really trying to find an already made binder to work for me before I pay hundreds of dollars for a custom one.
  10. Ok. Unless I can find a USA seller I probably won’t be able to order one from China for a while. Thank you for your help. I will update later on whether or not that foot could be pushed up further. for others people, if anyone has a pfaff 335 binder they don’t use anymore let me know and I may be interested in buying it! 3/4”. thanks everyone who has taken the time to help me so far!
  11. Ok great. No I didn’t. I will go out to my sewing room in about an hour and see if I can. I do have binder feet I ordered from China a while back. It has knurled feet. It fits my consew 227....I guess I will try it on the new machine but I don’t think pfaff and consew have interchangeable parts. I hope I can find a binder before I have to pay $434 to Atlanta attachment for a custom! I’m not even making money yet..just getting started for the second time and I’m still trying to make some bags before I go public lol.
  12. This is what I bought to get the missing pieces (besides a binder and foot set I guess).
  13. Yes I wish the seller had done a little more. I don’t think he forgot to give me anything. I will post some pics of it. I just bought a pfaff 335 bracket for 19.50 off eBay. I’m sure the bolts for the binder and finger piece at the top should at least fit my machine...I hope.
  14. Thanks guys. So if I got a custom binder made, would I need the missing parts still? Where could I even find replacement parts with China being on lockdown??? I was hoping I didn’t need to adjust anything lol.
  15. ok. I looked for that forum but I didn't see it. thank you
  16. I just bought this Zoje 2628 machine used. The company owner said it was a binding machine. Looks like it to me. Can anyone confirm? Problem is...I don’t have a binder (working on that) and it looks like it’s missing part on top of the black piece that moves..based off pictures online of synchronized binding machines. I have a cheap binder attachment off eBay but when I put it on the machine, the feed dog doesn’t move the material backward. I’m so confused.
  17. Hi. I just bought a Zoje cylinder arm binding machine. It was used and the company only had a 1” custom binder they could find for me. I need a 3/4” to sew leather binding on my leather bags. I didn’t go with a custom attachment from atl attachment because for their quote...I could buy a used synchronized binder..which I did. I’m hoping to order one from China when they are back to normal..but I’m the meantime, I thought I’d see if someone on here has one they could sell me. I need a right angle one I think.
  18. Hi! I’m interested in converting my consew skiving machine to have the blade spin separate from the rolling stone. How do I do that? It has a servo motor on it now that spins both of them. Side not...I think the company I got it from has the servo motor configured backwards because the higher numbers are slower and when I turn it to the off label it doesn’t turn off but clicks...turning the complete opposite direction until it won’t move anymore turns the motor off....weird. But that doesn’t effect me.
  19. Well I posted in the “How do I do that” thread so I didn’t know I could only ask questions about sewing machines. I’m not on here often so I don’t know all the ends and outs.
  20. Ok thanks guys for the tips! I have a consew bell skiver and when I skive the skiver leather just rolls right back around and up jamming underneath the blade. What could be the problem?? I sharpen the knife but that doesn’t stop it from happening. Could my stone be sticky or something? Should I get a steel roller?
  21. Ok thank you. I will check the bobbin tension. One other problem I’m having I gotta is that when sewing my chrome tanned purse strap...when finished it’s slightly curved and not straight. Any experience with that?
  22. I used the bigger vinymo on top and the smaller size on the bottom and it seems to have solved the problem. Will try the strap again to know for sure.
